Sometimes the bearing spacer is too big...
That's what happened to me.
yep i think thats definitely part of my problem. so, what we did with my front proto is we didnt put the bearings flush with the outside of the bearing slot, we left em ALMOST flush. they were slow, then i went to a skatepark and its fast as hell. but the back one is gayyy. im thinkin of trying new bearings and just giving EVERYTHING a shot.

k i gotta bump this thread cuz im havin a huge problem. i took the wheel off after i rode it and and tried to put it back on and the axle wouldnt fit. now its all screwed up and i have to use a bearing press to remove them. no idea where to find one and if this attempt doesnt work im going to have to get a new wheel. wait could i get the warranty from PROTO on this problem?

DO NOT INSTALL BOTH BEARINGS AT THE SAME TIME!

Press in one side THEN press in the other side. If you try to press them both in at the same time there is a pretty good chance that they will both go in crooked and if this happens and you continue to apply pressure the bearing will actually gouge and scar the core making the bore to small and creating too much pressure on the bearing. Also, use grease or anti-sieze on the outter race of the bearings and the inside of the core so they slide in and are able to be taken out without freezing. The bearing bore on the core should be perfectly smooth. If you notice lines or gouges in it you will need to file those smooth before putting new bearings in... the right way.
