The ELYTS shoes felt terrible to me. The sole of the shoe feels really thick and feels awkward on the deck. Just got a kick ass pair of P-Rods, so I'm gonna sell my ELYTS.

No shoes really come with good insoles, buy them separate, I've got these rally cushioned ones so they're comfy as ---- but pretty expensive, Vans are the best for grip for me but they have shitty protection on the toes. Any shoe will get messed up doing cali's, I've never had my nike 6.0's which are a good all round shoe wear down for foot jams lol.

you ovbiously have not ventured enough into the skate shoe world and have not worn any of the sole tech shoes with the anti heel bruise technology
