i was doing some smith stalls on this curb yesterday, and then today i decide to hit my box. I completely fall forward. I waxed up my scoot and the box and it still doesn't slide.

smiths are fucking great.
the way i learned them was with a plastic peg and once i toke the peg off i just had to lean a little more back and it was pretty much the same. leaning back helps a lot, but make sure you get locked in position

How about on a rup V1, I cannot smith at all - every time I try I stick to the ledge. Btw it's not me, I can do it on my friends envy deck.

guys i do not need help on how to smith. I am actually quite good at smiths. i wanted to know why that even though i waxd my box and my scooter, i go for a smith and the deck wont slide.

The front dropout of the deck is probably hitting the wood on your box and causing you to catch. You need to wax the wood, and lean further back.
