Beware, wall of writing.
I hate how modern society doesn't understand the value of life.
There are people out there with severe mental disabilities, or disorders, that live life to the fullest of their capabilities, and there are people that are down on life because they want attention...
Here's something i've sourced + a story of my own.
Mentally disabled people are among the happiest beings in the world.
They can NEVER live a full life, like a normal, healthy person, but are still positive and outgoing.
Whereas, there are healthy people, commonly known as attention seeking emotionals, that live their lives with a low self esteem, when they COULD be living life to its maximum potential, but don't, they chose to live in sorrow and anguish, rather than happiness and bliss.
Mentally disabled are the biggest inspirations of all, they give everyone something to smile about, even in the darkest times, and are the most optimistic of all beings.
My story -
This is possibly the most disturbing thing that has EVER happened to me, i wouldn't wish it on anyone in the world, and i feel dirtied just to have been there when it was occuring.
About half a year ago, i was at a caravan park, with a mate's family + their family friends. The family friends have a daughter, around 3 or 4 years old, and has been diagnosed with down syndrome. She is possibly my favorite person in the world, she manages to put a smile on my face whenever i am around her, and she inspires me to live my life to the fullest.
The caravan park is a close-knit community, and everone knows who she is, and loves her, and looks after her as if she's their own.
We would take walks every morning, down the the waterfront, and play on swings and in the sandpit, she'd laugh and play in a state of ignorant bliss, unawares of the world around her.
But one morning we let her go without the aid of anyone, she could walk around the park by herself, as people knew her, and would take care, and look out for her.
It had been 15 minutes, and she was yet to return, i went to check on her, walking towards the sandpit, i heard laughing, older, males.
I saw her, surrounded by 3 teenage males, aged between 13-16, they were throwing sand at her and laughing, i immediately started running towards her yelling at the boys, "Fuckk off you heartless cunts!", they heard and swung their heads and looked at me, running towards them, increasing pace, and immediately replied, "What!? its just a little fun!", and started walking away.
I got to her, she was covered in sand, and crying, we started to walk back to the caravan and get her to safety.
Safe to say, the boys and their family where kicked out of the caravan park within 15 minutes of the incident, and recieved a life ban.
What society do we live in when a 4 year old girl with down syndrome can't play by herself without being patronised?
Discuss.
