Anyone who thinks that titanium is stronger than chromoly and/or titanium is lighter than aluminium, is an idiot.
Aluminium's density: 2700 kg per square meter
Titatium's density: 4500 kg per sq meter
Steel alloys: 7800 kg per sq meter (yes, chromoly is a steel alloy)
Titanium's tensile strength (63,000 psi) is almost equal to SOME steel alloys,
but chromoly 4130 tops it anyway having tensile strength of 85,000-110,000 psi.
