k you guys this is kind of a bump, but this needs to be heard:
nate grants recipe sounded soooo good. I got out of bed today and said "I'm making some Nate Grant ramen today". I threw on some underwear and went to work.
I threw the noodles in the boiling water. I went to my fridge to search for a replacement for soy sauce because I hate soy sauce. What I soon beheld was glorious to mine eyes: Lawry's Teriyaki sauce.
The noodles were finished. I immediately strained them, then returned them to the heat, as Nate Grant had instructed. I poured a generous portion of teriyaki all over the noodles, turning them a dark brown color. The smell was incomparable. I then proceeded to add the Chicken flavoring, then went to my cupboard to obtain the coveted brown sugar. A small gasp of horror escaped my mouth at the site I beheld. No brown sugar.
We are in the process of a move, and most everything in my sugar/spices cupboard had been packed away. Distraught, I returned to my pot of destined-to-be-maginficent noodles... what was I to do?
I took the noodles off the heat and transferred them to a suitable sized bowl. I went to the fridge to grab some cold butter. After stirring in the butter, I returned once again to the fridge to return the block to it's designated slot in the fridge door, then suddenly, a thin bottle caught my eye. It was a bottle of Honey Butter.
Had I gone mad? Was this a simple act of desperation due to the lack of brown sugar? I am not quite certain, but what I did know was that desperate times called for desperate measures. And the fate of the Ramen Noodles thread was in my hands.
I wielded the bottle of honey butter like a fully loaded magnum. I was a madman, and this small bottle was my chariot to hell. I popped the cap and squeezed the concoction into my noodles with no reserve, putting it all on the line. What was to become of this was known to no man.
I stirred, then took a bite.
All of the most glorious memories of my life came flooding back to me. I had never tasted something so beautiful in my entire life. The soothing aroma brought back all happiness, and the warm noodles aroused my taste buds in ways I had never dreamed possible. After only a few short bites, I fled to my laptop and began recounting this very tale in this thread, to share the news with the rest of the world.
Shortened Recipe:
Two packets Chicken flavored Ramen noodles
Lawry's Teriyaki sauce (with pineapple juice)
Cold butter
Honey Butter mixture
Boil the noodles, strain all the water then return noodles to heat, and quickly add enough Lawry's Teriyaki sauce to cover all the noodles. Then add both Chicken flavoring packets. Stir well. Transfer noodles to bowl. Add a few slices of cold butter and stir until melted. Squeeze a generous amount of Honey Butter all over the top, then mix in. Enjoy
I will be adding pictures to this post so you can see the bottles of sauce you will need.
Prepare to be mouth-effed.
