Im sorry but i just dont like it at all, the bottom looks horrible for grinding. Also two piece decks are annoying...

other than that the headtube doesnt look too bad and the more i look at it the more i like the rounded dropouts. makes it look smooth as a babies bottom.

Bottom is great for grinding, and two piece decks are not annoying? haha.
Grinds even better than a District or a normal VertX

Well, if you are on a chunky ledge, since there is a big ass hole in the middle, it makes it easy to catch on those inside edges.

Ehh, I don't wanna just say you're wrong, but you gotta ride it. I was lipsliding some hella chunky ledge and sliding even better than I did on my Phoenix.

Ehhh, I'm not really into it but I'm not really into the look or design of VertX decks. Not a fan of the gooseneck headtube either, I was kinda hoping that would live on only with MADD.

Congrats on the deck though, Dom. It's good to see VertX is treating it's riders well

I kinda like the curved headtube, it is unique in the sense that it has the same I-Beam structure as the deck does, and it makes the scooter more front heavy, which if you have ever rode a vertx, you know is a wonderful thing haha.

im just not a fan of two piece because it always comes loose and is annoying to tighten all the time.

i guess i would have to test it to see how it grinds, it just LOOKS like it wouldnt be the best.

its kinda growing on me though, it doesnt seem as bad as i first thought

I think the ArX makes the deck a little bit shorter than the XRay. Whatever it does, it makes decks feel lighter.

I think boxed sides are good. Finger whipping my madd gear makes me unhappy.
Same with TSI, but districts are fun to finger whip.
same with reventons

Deck looks really good. But I have a question, what does the rounded dropouts DO, or is it just rounded cuz it wants to be?

I've never had to tighten my vertx.

A two piece deck will not come loose if you use thread locker.
Most people never use any thread locker then wonder why bolts come loose...you should be using blue thread-locker on basically all bolts/screws on your scooter (or anything thing else in the world you assemble). Basically always use thread-locker when im assembling anything with threads and i have never had a bolt come loose in 20+ years.
I am a welder but i actually love the idea of a 2 piece deck... (especially with extruded decks because its fairly easy to grind through the deck). Now with a thick ass machined deck like Vertex i really don't see the need for a 2 piece deck but it still is really nice to be able to play around with different headtube designs and angles.
I think the new deck looks awesome and i would buy one right now if they came in 5"x21"
...I am a little worried about how it will grind but i honestly don't think it will be that bad on most grinds
Looks, are amazing:cool:

BTW: Take this with a "grain of salt" because i have never owned a Vertex deck, so I don't know how the headtube and deck fit together. If it is a tight, almost snap together fit or tongue and groove like the Orion I guarantee you the bolt will never come loose if you use thread locker (blue)

The bolt really won't come loose. There's a few little kids who just can't tighten their bolts enough haha, but mine, and nobody I know's, ever come loose. And we don't use loctite.

Anyway, I was being 100% serious when I said this is hands down the best deck for grinds, especially rails. By the best, I mean literally better than any deck ever made.
I was grinding rails for as long as I please today, and ----- I've hardly ever been able to even fucking boardslide haha.
Today I learned board to whips, board to fs 180, and board to fs 180 downside whip. And I've never even been able to grind a whole rail before.
Best deck ever made for rails.
