yeah....its pretty obvious that he had problems, that's why they wanted him to see the school counsiler.Jordan said:The guy was screwed up in the head, he was a loner, I doubt many people were nice to him...Did you see his stories he wrote? He like wrote about this kid who accused his dad of molesting him, and about these 3 teenagers who go to a casino and talk about killing their teachers...and the first girl who got killed, they said he wanted a relationship with her or something. But yeah, its a terrible thing. Pretty much every channel has it on right now.
Exactly. 30 people probably die every hour in schools in developing countries because of shootings and massacres, and none of use even bat an eye. But then again, in middle eastern news they probably don't have anything on this shooting, just like we don't have any news about some of the horrible crap that goes on there, but that's completely natural. It's an instinct for humans to care more about something that they can relate to; something that's closer to them.the_SD_local said:Not to sound insensitive because what happened was terrible and the authorities could have prevented just about every single one of those deaths had they evacuated the school after the first shooting occurred before he opened fire again 2 HOUR LATER.... And this shooting story is really bad. 33 deaths is BIG. If you plan on dying, dont bring everyone you can with you
That many innocent people are dying in the middle east and all over the world every day in violent attacks and no one sheds a tear. Americans get so bent out of shape when their own die but they never think twice about others. I'm not going to sit here and place more value on my life or anyone else's over another but if anyone else is then you are a hypocrite. EVERYONE has their time and those people's time was yesterday morning. We would all be better off accepting death instead of fearing it and falling into the media hype.
That is my 2 cents.
Dude, I hate jack thompson as much as you and I also play video games, but I'm saying that some people just weren't meant to play them because they're messed in the head and can't tell the difference between what is acceptable in a game and what is acceptable in real life.Brian Boston said:FUCK THAT. Im pretty sure video games didn't play a role in this. The kid was mentally unstable, the school was notified about it, same with the cops (he was stalking 2 chicks). I don't have any proof to back this up, but my teach said today that the dude was like in a mental home or something but let out because they said he wasn't a threat to anyone but himself if he saw a therapist... bullshit.Dre said:Exactly. 30 people probably die every hour in schools in developing countries because of shootings and massacres, and none of use even bat an eye. Yup. And they searched the kids room, there was no video games in there.Jordan said:I just did a current events report about this study about violent video games. As it turns out video games do NOT cause gamers to be violent in real life. In fact, for gamers, and I quote "The violence helps make the play exhilaratingly out of reach of ordinary life." But it also does say that for "unhinged" gamers it desensitizes them for violence in real life. something like that.
