it takes the guy about an hour to perfect the welds with a grinder, overlap the welds, and repeat. he doesn't call it done 'till he's sure it won't break.ever.
Few things... you should not have to grind or overlap the welds and you sure as hell shouldn't have to bolt it still after it's welded. One solid pass with good heat and deep penetration should be more than enough to hold that thing strong forever which is one of the main reasons why MIGing a scooter is kind of sketchy because it is a lot harder to control your heat and penetration. Also, it should only take about 5 minutes to weld a foldy not an hour especially with a MIG.parker? said:tristan-the welds can break, so it is best to weld and bolt.
