IMO the SR threaded fork is the best even though it isnt as strong as the threadless i dunno in my experience of using both forks threaded is the way to go becuase some one made a point in a different thread that threadless bmx headsets will probly not work as good cuz they are meant for bikes which are heavier and have alot more weight to spin around smoothly. a scooter is just too light for a bmx headset to work properly.. i dunno it also could have been my particular fsa is really shitty becuase i never had luck with my threadless cuz it was either nice and tight and no wobbling but would not spin worth a damn or it would spin smoothly but wobbled like a bitch.
Sorry to hear about the forks but you should have reinforced them... I'm probably gonna play around with a reinforced threaded if I have time.
Also, if you had problems with your threadless then something was not installed right. There are plenty of people riding them who love them including myself. Some of what you said is true about bikes having more weight and momentum especially with a new sealed headset but really once you break in any headset and get everything tuned right you shouldn't notice any difference.
Plus threaded forks are bad for bars. The threads gouge out the inside of you bars which is why you always have to tight you clamps or use double, triple, quadruple clamps or whatever. Threadless forks stay tight forever with a single clamp because there is like 100 times more surface area grabbing.
I really don't like the idea of
threadless forks which is why I'm probably not going to invest much time in making them better because I want to encourage people to go threadless because I really think it is the future.
