why expensive parts

My scooter is somewhat expensive, but at the same time, I've not broken a part on it in months. On the other hand, I used to break pro models so often I had to churn out more and more money.

yea its basically something you have to think about in the long run
say you broke like 10 pro models a year isint that like 400 dollars?
or a 160 dollar phoenix or tsi that lasts you like 2 or 3 years

I got myself banned.
scooter parts are still more expensive cause there not made as much like 100 decks is mass production for phoenix but 5000 frames are mass production for like fly and shit so when theres more riders parts will be cheaper as i see it.

some of the people in here really dont get it. if someone has the money or a wealthy family, who cares if they have nice scooters? as long as yur better than them, it reaalllyyy doesnt matter

Exactly. You get what you pay for. When I rode pro models, I would be scared to death riding street in case my fork or dropouts snapped. Spent too much money buying pro models left and right.

not to mention, you can get some good parts for cheap, but it is worth it in the long run like if you get crow bars(i know trendy) everyone wants them cause there whats in but also they are veryy strong and razor ultra pro bars my bro bent his in 2 days. so in the long run its better but overall you dont have to have aton of money, im not rich i just save and stuff

Well i used to b a kid with a $600 scooter that culdnt even catch a whip. Now id say im prettty decent, and i progressed way more in 2 months wit my phoenix than i did in 6 wit pro models/old a's. ALSO Seeing sucky lil kids wit expensive scooters doesnt even bother me, i just think start out wit the best and it will last longer and help ur ridning.

ultra pros might work good for yourself but i brake them in less than a month so i need to spend the money to get an extremely good deck, and even my new lucky evo deck is bending

I race motocross at a pretty serious competitive level.
It's the same in any sport, just like the earlier said soccer cleats.
The more you pay, the higher the quality and more testing put into it.
When you get to the professional level, more aftermarket and more reliable parts are necessary. The fastest riders in the world is going to need a more reliable and faster bike than an amateur just starting. That said, you always see spoiled kids in every sport who always have everything handed to them, right? Just run what you like and the better you get, the smarter it'd be to invest in stronger parts so you don't get hurt.

Every time price comes up, bmx comes up. Try a frame for $400+ and then complain about how expensive scooters are.

And whats really fucked is how we have to pay $200 for a deck, that may or may not last you long. Either way its expensive. BUT!you can get a bikeframefor $200, that i guarantee will last longer than a $200 scooterdeck, AND about 90% of bike parts now comewith a lifetime warranty, whereas i cant nameone scooter partwith a lifetime warranty. Can you?

Other sports are expensive, but in comparison scooters are cheaper. They wear a lot faster though if you're a hard rider so everything does kind of even out.
I'm almost 17 and working so it takes me a while to afford new parts, especially with freaking gas prices these days..

that is true but i hate seeing people that arent that good yet with like 500 dollar scooters. if you are really good go ahead. but (no offense) i hate when i went to TIC there was little kids with REALLY expensive parts

when i bought my nice parts, i bought really nice parts so i wouldnt have to keep replacing them and end up spending around like 700$, instead of buying nice parts that will last a super long time for like 450$
