Yer it would be, people need to stop aiming so high, and just let the sport grow on it's own.
very true. All we need is time. I think there could be more demos, thats what we need (in my opinion) most. Nice avatar, by the way.

Thanks Jord.

And what I worry about is getting a few people in the x-games or whatever, but with so few riders compared to bmx'ers and that, to have a good pro comp, you would need to get every pro scooter rider out there and even then you wouldn't have that many.

If you let the sport grow, there will be many pro riders which will mean better turnouts in comps etc.

okay I've been seeing all this bullshit about how you people think scooters are "gay" why do you say that? i think you all are mad because you want to pick up hot chicks, make loads of money and all this other bullshit. do you know skateboarding wasn't always the craze like it is now. it was just like what scootering is now, at one point everyone wanted a freaking scooter because a new line came out called ''Razor scooters'' when skateboarding 1st came it was just a piece of wood with fruit boot wheels on the bottom, are 1st scooter was the same with handle bars.
new skateboards came out that toy makers disigned and everyone wanted them, then no1 did and no1 skateboarded and only losers did (tony hawk was one of those losers) it was like this for 5 years then it got a little bit bigger and bigger till now where everyone knows what a skateboard is, same with you guys bmx's.
so stfu and go scooter and if you still have a problem with it... still just stfu.
scootering is slowly comming back

Basically we are losing for the next few years, haha.

On a serious point though, you are right, scootering was just a phase for SOME people, as was the yoyo and pokemon. But with our sport still having some manufacture support behind it, (such as micro and razor still making scooters)
the sport has carried on, so in a few years once alot of the people have stayed in the sport and progressed to a higher level, there will be plenty of media coverage and so on. But just let it happen, mellow out and listen to some bob marley for the next few years.

yeah it could be like skateboarding, but then again, it could be like rollerblading, get really big and go to the X-Games, then all of a sudden fall down again. Rollerblading is still pretty good though, just because your not in the X-Games doesn't mean that you aren't very popular. We just need time, remember that. Rome wasn't built in a day.

No we don't need to be in the X-Games to make our sport more popular, but the truth is our sport isn't very popular, and very few know the capabilities of them, that's why people call scootering 'gay' and so on until they see what is possible. You need to see it to believe it. And I agree, Rome wasn't built in a day, and that's what alot of people expect.

hahah you's all talk about the Xgames as if you know whats going on?

Come march lets see all your opinions on "Scooters in the Xgames"

Think about this not somthing you can make a living off of. Say what you want but theres no way it can help you with real life. IF and i say IF scooter's ever do hit it big time in the "x-games" or any other extreme sports competition it wont be anytime soon, and i can tell you once you hit 18 and you make that decision to go to college or else work right after highschool thats when life starts. You aren't going to be 25 and ride a scooter for fun anymore (unless you have alot of freetime or your job permits its). This sport in my view is just starting everyone on this forum only know about the people on this forum there could be 1000's of other people who ride scooters and are 10x better than jesse or cary or coedie. What phil is saying about how we know about scooter's in the xgames and whatnot is true and not. Not like everyone from the US are going to be able to watch the xgames in australia because 95 percent (random) people dont even know about he xgames in australia.
Basically to sum this clusterfuck of a post up is if scooters do get into the X-Games for for them and i hope its makes everyone who has already decided to make scootering their career millionare's.
Enjoy whats going on now and have Fun.

Point is.

So like, is "Planet X Games" as big in AUS as "X Games" is in the US? For the bmx, fmx and skating comps is there going to be household names there? Like Corey Bohan, Ryan Shecklar, etc? Are people in America going to be able to see it? If so, I doubt they'll put the scooter comp on but they might show highlights. Who knows though. No doubt this comp is a huuuge step in the right direction for scooters, and I can't wait to see the footy. Just imagine if radtkey lands a 360 flip, or a doubleflip by Jesse. Its going to be sick no matter what, and you guys'll have a ton of fun and we'll be cheering you at home.

Progression FTW!

yeah i hope we all do really well and make the sport bigger.

I know everyone will do their best and i will too <3

ya and i cant wait to meet up with some of the AUS riders =)
