You're right, the original ones were. But they just replaced those will 100% aluminum ones shorty after they were released. And yeah, I forgot about the DSA Cambo forks too.

Im pretty sure lucky NW forks were a 4130 tube, and aluminum legs.

And no, they NWs were machined steel legs, with a steel tube. They were welded together.

i wonder if it would have made a difference if they used a starnut instead of threading the inside of the fork. maybe even an aluminum washer welded inside and a nylock bolt to compress it from the bottom of the washer. we should be staying away from threads and slits all together, not finding more ways to use them.

this is what Andrew Broussard has been pushing for his whole life and yet threaded stuff still exists.
