I have this amazing(shit) new (old) laptop (computer)! It's called the POS (piece of shit) it can turn On in a whopping 23 minutes!! It also comes with preinstalled viruses I love it

My computer set up looks pretty bad ass, but in reality, it sucks.
The laptop I'm using with it is a Dell with Vista on it and a 136 gig (odd number) hard drive. Which is full of music, videos, and viruses.
I think it has 2 gigs of ram.
Lol 136gb is like the most random number possible. My software is windows 6 I still don't have the new YouTube
I still don't have the new YouTubei have a couple.
Mine right now is a Lenovo Y550 dual booting Ubuntu 10.10 and a custom Windows 7. i run faster than all of you.

Phenom 6 core processor at about 3.5ghz
12gb of ram
4tb hdd (2x 2tb hdd's)
nvidia dual vid out (twin 27 inch monitors) with 1.5gb of vid ram
and so on. a mac at the same rating (less ram, less vid, ONE 27in monitor, 4tb) is about 1500 more.

First, both Mac & PC are the same thing. Its the hardware that separates them, and of course effects the price.
Windows & Mac OS
Now why are macs better? Allow me to explain. Lets first look at the interface. Window's interface is outdated and cluttered. It can also be non user-friendly to folks who are less experienced with computers. God knows how long I was over at my aunts, trying to explain how her new computer with Windows 7 works.
Mac OS's interface is fresh, well designed and interacts with the majority of professional (and indie) programs available. Speaking of interaction, the majority of Mac OS's programs are connected and work around each other. I can be working on Premiere, and then quickly export a sequence to After-Effects for color correcting, and then export to Final Cut for rendering & compressing.
And while we are talking about programs, I would also like to bring up how Adobe programs run better on Mac OS. Why? Well, because Adobe designed them for Mac systems, not windows.
Now lets look at virus protection! How fun! When we unpacked my aunts PC and started it up, we where immediately welcomed by pop-up ads as fire-fox tried to connect to Walmarts website. Of course, Window's systems don't come with decent virus protection! Now we have to run to the damn store and buy more software.
This situation also relates to the price of mac, most people are unaware of the fact that your also paying for Mac's built in virus protection software. Now as shocking as this sounds, I have never seen a single pop-up ad on my Mac. I can browse around on Pirate Bay without seeing a single ad.
Jesus, I could talk about this shit all day. Macs are durable, efficient, the industry standard[B/] (for all you design and video kids) and of course original. I mean, c'mon! Windows has been two steps behind Apple for years. They are always copying older versions of Mac OS. (especially Windows 7)
So yea, Mac wins. It may be a little more expensive, but who cares. Its always been that way with EVERYTHING. Windows is just lowballing older versions of Mac OS and selling it to you as a golden, recycled turd that requires you to buy toilet paper separately.
ALSO: Programs download & install way faster on mac. Has anyone ever tried downloading and installing one of adobes master suites on windows? IT TAKES FOREVER
Mac: One file, installs everything at once and done. Nothing else, everything is updated, no more window shenanigans.

This is the only thing I have to complain about in your post. I tried using my friend's mac. It was baffling. Yes, everything's all nice and tidy and integrated, but it's FUCKING HARD TO FIGURE OUT. Windows doesn't look as pretty, but I'll be damned if it gets any easier than hitting the "START" button and picking a program.
