I cant my clamp is very tight as it is, but i just relised when its tight the slits are touching each other, would cutting them wider fix it?

Hi i just got my new seasoned broot bars from skaterhq and i put them on my scooter which is a maddgear pro, after a day riding they started to slip and wobble. Has anyone else had this problem? If so tell me a solution. Thanks
