scootgossip (SOCIAL THREAD POST HERE FOR FUN)

at least they give you headset spacers...where were those with my tilt? Why is it that so many accept the headset gap on a threshold?

Proto Gripper Durometer? (river glides vs grippers)

lol, to think razor wheels used to be 80 and 82a (and maybe still are, idk)

Proto Gripper Durometer? (river glides vs grippers)

River glides are said to be 84a. How do grippers compare? I need to switch to a softer wheel. I only ride street but the rapids (while super fun at 88a) don't feel safe. I always feel like im about to slip out when I'm bombing and turning because I already have a couple times.

    Any ambidextrous riders out there?

A rider in my town is pretty foot synonymous. Double tails, double heels, bs, fs stuff. All interchangeable and completely natural. That's all I can say about that...

    YOUR SCOOTER

I'm not saying tilt doesn't make some excellent parts, I'm just not sold on aluminum being totally safe, beefed up or not. I don't know why you'd want a FORK or BARS in aluminum... ever the properties of alu = snappage properties of steel = bend the difference between stumbling and getting...

Parts you want to see / Part Ideas

I don't know the issue everyone has with Thom Cats. They're modeled after a bmx fork. The welds are clean as fuck, the angles are really sharp looking, and the fork itself looks burly as fuck while still being pretty plain and low profile. I think they look way better than all these triangle...

Eye Candy. (do not post your own scooter!)

I need to post my setup (with foamies) before everyone thinks I hopped on the foamie train and I lose my hipster credability

nahhhh, 21.5 deck length with 27 bars feels superb.

    YOUR SCOOTER

At my height of 6' 4'' with 29 inches I wasn't just losing tricks, (whips and mannys felt awful) but I was also smacking myself in the ballsack every time I jumped more than 6 inches. So I'm not sure how that's not more of a problem.

    YOUR SCOOTER

Wow, I really don't understand how you and everyone else does it. Awesome for cruising, but doing any sort of trick seems wayyyy too unnatural. Im 6' 4'' by the way. 27 (tsi trons) + scs My scs is 1.5+ not 2 but I was rocking a .5 spacer before i cut both my fork and bars

    YOUR SCOOTER

I just got down to 27 and it feels pretty right. Another half inch max but I think this will do. How tall are you?

    YOUR SCOOTER

Got my setup built. Still need a headset spacer which is apparently annoying to get by itself. Don't feel right posting it because my bars seem to be too tall. 27.5 seems to be a bit much, tricks still dont feel quite right and I dont know if i should take another half inch or whole inch off...

    Questions about sponsors??

Any real sponsor is gonna give you their parts to ride for free. Free stickers don't count and I haven't ever heard of companies only offering product discounts if you legitimately ride for their team. A lot of companies make it so that you have to ride a particular part of theirs (notably deck)...

    Who owns who?

I think it'd be nice to know what companies own eachother/are extensions of eachother/ are partially owned/ invested by other companies etc. Ex: Proto owns River (extension) District and Addict (are tied to Marcel?) but Ethic is Kevin Demay and friend's brand? Blunt IS Envy, Envy is just the...

(COMPATABILITY) Thom Cat, Hammerhead, Tilt SCS

So my headset cap doesnt sit flush on top of the headtube, the bearings make it stick up and create a small gap. I have noticed other people with this same problem. How do I fix it? TSI Hammerhead Tilt SCS Lt TSI Thom Cat Forks
