I am sorry, but this is actually completely false. A callus does not in anyway prevent bruising. Calluses are formed from your skin rubbing up against something, that is why you get them on your hands, it is from your grips. If you are riding with Vans slip ons and have never gotten heel bruise...

Sounds like you messed them up pretty bad. What you can do is just take a starnut and just pound it in there.

My life consists of this cycle. Do gap, heel bruise, don't wait long enough for it to heal, do another gap, more bruise. Repeat for infinity.

You guys are both incorrect, they may look that way, but both molds were precisely made and if you feel the decks you can definitely tell the difference. It may appear that way because the low mold has sharper dips and kicks.
