haha everyone that wants free healthcare is a douche. we are already in enough debt as it is.
it's not free, it's paid through taxes, and no, they aren't douches, because it makes the most sense.
indeed.

we pay more than enough in taxes for everyones education and such, we should at least be able to take care of our own citizens health.

I hope McCain doesn't win, he'll probably be worse than bush

i completely disagree. i've read mccains autobiography, and he is very smart. while i don't agree with some of his policy, he at least has a solid head on his shoulders and would surround himself with other intelligent people, which was one of bush's biggest mistake since he appointed sneaky, dumb, conniving idiots to some of the countries top positions.

i do agree that i hope he doesn't get elected, though, we need to get out of iraq and he won't do that.

yeah McCain is a pretty solid dude. i trust him to run a country, but im just tired of not having anything change.

i really feel like Obama will be a revolutionist in a way.

and McCain is nothing like Bush.

i knew that part, i just dont get how it works still.

basically, voting is separate in each state. all of the states (plus dc) has a certain number of electors. the candidate with the greatest percentage of the votes in a state gets all of the electors that state has. then all the electors cast their vote for president based upon what their states population voted for. candidate with the most electoral votes (as long as its over 270, weird clause) wins. but because voting is separated by state like that, it's possible for the person who has the smaller portion of the popular vote to win, which happened in 2004. more people voted for gore, but bush won. dumb system, and if we didnt have it bush wouldnt be in awesome and our country would be so much better off.
