honest to god, i learned it in school and i wikipedia'd it earlier. i get that its a population thing. but who is an elector and who is he representing, an area? a majority i mean wtf. do they take like lets say 500 people and out of those 500 if McCain gets the vote then its one point in the state for McCain?

electors are just important people in politics. it's basically just a bullshit honorary title since they dont really have any say in anything. and i'm pretty sure they don't represent any particular spot, but i could be wrong, each states' electors just vote together as a whole based on who had the most votes in the state, it has nothing to do with counties or cities or anything like that.

no because then whats the point of having electors represent who youre voting for if they dont cound.
like cali has 55 electors i think, how does my vote affect their vote to vote for who i want.
