How Do ppl put BMX bars with the Stems onto the scooter..

Only want to do this 'cuz i dont have access to one piece bars T_T

i got two questions. can you spray paint like your headtube and everything? like will the spray paint stay on and look good. Also will a 110 eagle fit in the back with a stock pro brake or do you have to cut the brake?

Yea, the oversized starnut is 1-1/4.

The bolt that goes into the starnut is 1/4. Idk about the threads.

I have a Micro scooter. All stock.

Can i put a one piece bar on it?

well your going to need the t-tube or the right sized metal bar, and you either have to weld it or buy the special 3 peice clamps

You need BUFF BARS.

no you dont, you just need the same clamp that they use on buff bars

if you have money go to kotascooter.com they sell em for $99

if you get buffs your just gonna be throwin away the crossbar though, it would be cheaper to buy the clamp and t-tube

Basicly your putting in 2 screws so it wont break and the tube i think

can some one please explain how a compression system works on a scooter and where it all goes,thanx in advance

Ok here is how compression works on a scooter


1. Inverted Compression (usual way)

- you have a star nut a few inches into your bars
- you have a bolt that goes from the bottom of your forks into the starnut which pulls em togethor

2. Scs or Brass Knuckles (better way)

- You have a huge clamp
- the bottom half of the clamp has a thincker wall than above
- You have the top cap from your headset (which you dont use) sitting on top of the lower half
- you have a star nut in your forks
-you buy a longer bolt that will fit into your headset cap and the star nut (DOESNT MATTER IF ITS TOO LONG)


PS: you must buy a longer bolt because the one that comes with your headset is only a few inches long

sorry u dont have to buy anything extra, i forgot everything comes with the scs

im thinking as if u were makin your own so nvm

and also you dont use the top cap from your headset

all of its included haha

thanx chrisisafoo,that helped me heaps,i pretty much knew inverted,but the description of the jnuckles helped HEAPs,thanx mate

get a bmx seat post like the snafu j-bar(danscomp) and take out the two metal bits that hold the seat tubing,then put the bars in and tighten it right up,no need to buy an expensive stem!.then just slide it into the original tube of the scooter. hope dat helped
