Hey team,
Been lurking around for a few days and the only things I've been able to find on the topic are as follows:
- Adult scooters are large, have bigger wheels, fold, are used for commuting and are cheap.
- Freestyle/Trick/Pro scooters are small, built like tanks, don't fold, and are more expensive.
I'd have no problem buying a pro scooter right now but I'm a 6'2", 240lb, rugby player....
Now that you've stopped laughing at the image of me riding a scooter, let's continue.
I guess my main areas of concern are:
- Are the pro scooters out there capable of handling my weight? (It's not going anywhere, need it for the sport).
- Are there pro scooters out there with adjustable/longer bars so that I won't have to practically crouch while riding the thing. (I'm obviously not expecting to stand up straight while riding it but if I got on any of your rides I'd be the hunchback of Notre Dame).
- What are your top two brands in terms of quality? (Price is fairly irrelevant in this case)
I've been lurking the MGP youtube channel for two days but I feel like they're the Apple of the scooter community. Overpriced and only popular because they're considered "cool".
I'd much rather ride a no-name scooter that's just as good if not better than a huge brand name product and pay out my ass to do it.
If you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can provide on the topic then I'd be happy to do so.
Let's talk.
