i love bands like the devil wears prada drop dead gorgeous bring me the horizon and a bunch of hardore sh!t like that. but ive been looking for a good song for my band to cover and i was wondering if u can help?

i'd say sidewalk's remenance by yesterdays rising. it's a pretty simple song to play, and it sounds good.
or deadbolt by thrice. every kid starting to play guitar in a post hardcore band should know how to play that.
I really enjoy the music of Yaphet Kotto, Suis La Lune, I Would Set Myself On Fire For You and some other bands which style could be described as "melodic screamo". I also love chaotic screamo like Orchid, Joshua Fit For Battle and so on, but I wanted to ask for some melodic, cause it is harder to find them (especially good ones). Your advices?
PS: Oh yeah, by screamo I mean real screamo, a sub-type of emotional hardcore; not nowadays post-hardcore with a bit of screaming added. Well, I also like it, but it makes me a bit angry every time I see someone replies to another TIC video with words like "stop using screamo" while its Bullet For My Valentine or Chiodos playing there lol

Well, I wanted to ask one more question: what do you think about the so-called "post-emo indie rock"? Like Sunny Day Real Estate or Mineral or some other bands... I dunno, they sound very different to hardcore music of that time; so isn't it a totall bullsh!t and it's wrong to call these bands emo?

no, not at all wrong to call them emo, sunny day real estate, mineral, texas is the reason, and bands like that were bands that kind of brought more attention to emo. they paved the way for bands like saves the day and the get up kids.
but i think it sucks that everything today that gets labeled as emo is real shitty music, when actual emo bands put out good stuff over a decade ago.
