@Justin: Ive never heard of rush 9s before but considering they have a 9 in the name makes me think there abec 9 rated?
Edit: I googled them and they are abec 9
@ TUC:The higher the abec rating the smaller the tolerances are (the gap between the balls and the inner and outer races)
Lower abec rated bearings dont wear out quicker
Are you sure its your bearings that have play in them not just a dodgy axle, swap axles with your friend, see if that makes a difference
hey rob soo rush nines are legit my friends that skate sayy them and black panthers are the best
So if there rusted seized and clogged with sand there ok?
If thats true why is there different ratings for bearings?
Why are thre aftermarket bearings?
alight guys, sorry to blow your bubble here but...
an ABEC rating is the over QUALITY of a beaing, not neccicarely the speed
for instance:
my friend has 120$ bones swiss ceramic labyrinth bearings, and i had reds, i could feel no difference in the speed, if you want to go really fast, look into harder wheels, not better bearings, bearings will help you go faster to some extent, yes, but bearings are judged based on strength and smoothness, not speed, because lucky abec 3 bearings are pretty damn fast, much faster than my 40$ panther swiss' and they blow
so your paying for smoothness overall, not speed
this, I will never spend money on bearings because I always have some old stock bearings around and they're fine for me.as long as they spin right it really doesnt matter.
exactly. im riding bearings from a kmart board, heelys, and a razor a model and people always ask me why my scooter is so fast. im riding the old yak skats, after a year they are so much faster than they were idk why.

there going faster because they have worn down
i dont think anything would happen to the urethane over time...
When buying abec rated bearings your not paying for speed but the higher the abec rated the higher speeds they can handle without seizing
