yeah i used to ride all stock except for bearings and grips but now i ride buffs 19.5 high 18 wide with a metal core in front green machine in back with an nx fork and a cane creek sealed bottom cup and a c4 aheadset top cup and i choose my set up now over any stock scooter

I honestly can't ride stock scooters anymore. They're too light. I'm scared airing out and stuff. I get too twitchy in air. It's also hard for me to ride with a stock angle headtube as well. If you ride a 5/16" bolt in back with a pro headtube, it's too far back. I feel cramped. 3/8" in back, old A headtube is perfect. Also, every time I ride peoples scooters with stock forks, I can feel them flexing. I always ask them "it's not gonna break, right?" before I drop in or something. I'm not nearly as confident on other peoples scooters. I'm just so used to have a solid scooter, that I know is not gonna break on me, that I am more hesitant on others scooters.

If you only break wheels alot just try 2 metal cores. Its not like your gonna go broke paying 60dollars.
Obviously you dont know me.
I admit scooters than have good parts are good too.
But i can make a light scooter that is safe and solid with just stock parts, apart from wheels. Which i use green machines.

shut up.
lock this thread.

Useless post, why lock it when it's a decently legitimate question?

It's all a matter of personal preference.
Lets take a good scooter
Pro deck - 40$
pirate reinforcements - 25$?
metalcores - 35$
One piece bars - ~60$

for the 180$ you could just get 4 pro models.

That's without aftermarket bearings/madd brake/new headsets/forks/compression
now with SCS, cane creek s-3, madd brake, and inward fork...
Tack on another ~35$ for the headset, 65$ for the SCS (no shipping..) 15$? for the brake, and ~60-70$ fork depending on what you get.

APPROXIMATELY 360$. EIGHT PRO MODELS.

Anyway, if you bolt your bars and remove the clamp, no more unnecessary height changes
If you bolt your stock handlebars through the hole where the button goes, and tighten the hell out of it, it won't wiggle TOO much, however it might.

a decent example of a more stock > aftermarket scooter

Pro bars/deck/brake/headset = 40$.
HYPER wheels - ~8$ each
New grips- ~ 12$?

That's 60$ for a cheap alternative to aftermarket parts, and it's still a pretty good set up.

Like i said, it's all about personal preference and finances, too.

edit: misspelled decently, DUR.

seriously paul,

i used to ride gms and hypers
stock wheels
stock headset
stock bars
pro deck without reinforcements

but since i started this acs company,

i now ride one piece bars
acs forks
reinforced deck
dual eagles

now it doesnt cost that much, ^^ do all that and u wont have to buy something for a scooter in so long its not funny, eagles are hella worth it
and if ur a weight freak dont even bother, ask james how heavy my scooter is, he picked it up yesterday.
it may be the heaviest scooter ive ever picked up in my life i can still do all my tricks and everything i can on a stock plus more.

its worth it

it costs alot and you can make simple modifications to a stock scooter for alot less will similar or same strength.
Green Machines are fine unless you're a sketch cunt, and by looking at your 270 barpsin slider thing in your avatar you most likely are.
Just get a trolley pole, hot glue gun, aluminium strips, bolt your foldy and reinforce your fork. Dialed.

wow dude. stock wheels are shit. i break them in like a few days when there hot glued. my fork (stock) bent in the most impossible way and my stock bars broke. stock sucks. you arent good enough to break things yet. just wait youll have inward forks and rads soon enough. and its supports our sport. without aftermarket part we wouldnt be going anywere. why do you think bmxers dont ride mongoses? cause they suck. get it? stupid thread. lock
GTFO. Have you seen Paul Fletcher ride? He is god.
