dirt scoot adversity/support

Saw a thread, but it didn't exactly cover what I was thinking. Who plans on purchasing a dirt scooter? Anyone from the dirt jumping scene going to try their hand at it? Do you think it's going to thrive as well as scooters have, and will it be comparably fun to riding a bicycle? I have years of experience trail riding and dirt jumping on a bike, and many many years on a street scoot, but no means to acquire a dirt scoot. I believe the companys that are building these things should look into the current scene and find the riders that have a good skill set of DJing and scootering combined, and have them bring this new aspect of the sport to the best light possible. I love how RAD is all former trail and bike riders, we need more riders with diverse styles on these features! I live in Central Oregon, AKA trail riding/dirtjumping central lol. I could be a good asset to this part of the sport, I know literal dozens of spots in a five mile radius (NW FTW). I'm just fishing for opinions of whether to a.) purchase in the first place, b.) is it as fun as it's predecessor? [bicycle] c.) what companies are going to be involved in this branch of the sport d.) is it worth not putting the effort into further building street scooting versus dirt riding? Comment if you feel you have legitimate input, or if you support and want to see styles of dirt jumping on scooters branch out to thirty + foot stepdowns, large drops, insane straight up and down doubles with constant trail flow, ladders, and mad, mad scrubbage. thanks :D

EDIT: An idea occurred to me, would dirt scooters allow the variety of having slide able features in dirt riding? Imagine the possibilities :)

I don't plan on it. While it could open some more options in street riding in being able to land to grass and stuff, I can just as easily man up and do a damn grass ride.

If I get one for free I'll rock it, but I already have too many toys that I don't use enough. You also can't mix in dirt scooter clips in a normal scooter video. It would be like a bmx video having clips with a mountain bike and trying to be serious.

I don't think I would get one. They are cool and stuff but in my opinion we need everybody we can get on a real scooter.

I'm gonna get one for Dirt Jumping, I could do a fair bit on a bike but now I'm a wuss cos of scooters. :D But no one cares :( ;)

EDIT: I also think there's going to be way more street opportunities with these things.

I didnt make mine to take out regular scoots, just as something different to have fun on and open up dirt to anyone who ever wanted to try it on a scoot.

There shouldnt be adversity between regular scoots and dirt scoots, everyone seems to switch between the two depending on what they want to ride at the moment, as it should be.

Alex; i think it depends on how good you're really at it! why not show it with reg riding to get exposure for it. but i wouldn't integrate them if your skill levels on one versus the other were so badly different ha. It'd be relevent to how good you are on a regular skoot. Does that make sense ha

agreed tho tyler i feel you on progression of the norm scoot sport ha it needs to keep growing. but maybe they could both hold validity. I wanna ride one before i get too far ahead of myself

There's so many different possible outcomes of the rise of dirt scooters that it's hard for me to voice my opinion, or even form it for that matter. But I can say that I'm excited to see what becomes of this :)

I wouldn't jump to starting a dirt revolution lol, just wait for them to be out for a little bit.
And it will find its own place and will move from there.

I want one so bad. i feel like dirt scoot clips would fit in a normal edit just another form of riding. Bmx has riders that ride park street and dirt and since normal scooters aren't built for dirt it just makes it more available
