Lol, this is what gets me...they never even signed a contract??!? Then wtf are these kids bitching about and how dumb can you possibly be?? Didn't these kids have parents to give them advice?? I understood that in elementary school for christ's sake.
Im not trying to be a dick, but they dont have a leg to stand on if they didnt sign any contracts and they really have no right to be mad at anyone but themselves.
They learned a very valuable lesson.
Sucks to be them.

And also....you are getting an extremely one sided story here. Ethic is using this as a marketing campaign and you kids are buying it hook, line, and sinker.
Its brilliant on Ethics part really...

Oh, haven't you thought that money is not the only thing that bothers former FSP riders? This is a one sided story, because there is no other side. All the people, who used to associate themselves with FSP group, confirmed it. Chris and Rory, who are still on the team, promised us to explain District's point of view in the IS comments but it seems we still didn't get anything from them. Why? Because it is as simple as that: District needed to grow and gain popularity, they hired a shitload of riders, designers, employees, etc from all over the world to help it happen and now when the company is quite big and well-known, they don't need them anymore. Money? Contracts? It’s all about the attitude, as for me. I've just checked my e-mails from 2010 – and it is hard to believe they were written by the same person, Marcel. He was caring of what we were thinking about the products, mailing us every week or two, apologizing for the delays in shipping and so on. Now he doesn't give a shit about anything but money.
It is a quite a good strategy from business point of view, but when it comes to human relations then I can surely say we don't need such people in our sport.
Yes, this video is used by Kevin for promotion of his brand, but I am shocked how some people imply that it is a bad and low move. The aim of every company is getting exposure and profits; otherwise it can't survive, that's quite obvious. But at the same time, some companies have a right mission and attitude, so they deserve our support.
Surely, not every rider-owned company is perfect; as well as not every businessman-owned company is full of shady assholes. You have to explore each case individually before jumping to conclusions. But in this case I can confirm Kevin's words and I am going to fully support him with his Ethic project.

This may sound weird but I kinda wat to have a crash because than only the legit riders will be left and the scene would be much tighter knit

i saw monky the other day and he had an ethic complete. it lokked pretty cool.
the deck looks like a beefy addict. i also noticed that the neck is connected just like a v2i, instead of being welded through the deck. it has an ethic logo cut out in front of the deck, which makes it look like its welded through

Sports have slumps in popularity when they're as small as we are. Some of the companies that exist purely for money will die out and only the big backed (madd / envy / district) and rider owned / dedicated companies will survive. Same has happened in skateboarding and rollerblading.

Like in Lords of Dog Town.

fuck it. the v2i is a great deck, and im not gonna stop riding it because of ONE side of the story. i mean i believe what kevin is saying about how marcel fucked him over. but there is TWO sides to every story.

Maybe so but I'd rather support some young guy with prospects than some sleezy old ball bag.

Just got blocked from District FB too. ;)

Marcel doesn't do anything for the distric riders either. Im glad I've never owned a district part and I'm glad about the company's on my scorer, just wish rad would make t bars. And I believe hep Greg is part of this too because didn't he design the original distric extrusion

Me too. :D

ive never owned a distirct part either and from the sounds of this marcel is a complete scam(almost certainly). but most people dont know that si district will most likley survive but as for kevin he SHOULD HAVW SINGED THE CONTRACT obviously he should have been treated well but he probably didnt know marcel well so be on the safe side, its like buying from a dodgy internet site, dont do it unless you know youre safe. districts and eagles sales will go down, addicts already did as the decks broke really fast and the forks
