i think they still have their factory in america, but not too sure tbh

ive only ever seen them snap at the headtube (looking at the snaps on youtube and some posted on here) so i think it helps, but theyve changed the way they weld the headtube to the deck, and it doesnt look as strong as the current reventon's, but who knows what'll happen lol

i just think the deck welds wont be as strong

because it probably costs a lot to weld the caps on. The deck comes from a long ass strip, so they cut the length they need off of it. I don't get why they taper it though, there is no performance enhancement whatsoever.
