I'm not very good with cameras but what do you mean by " good " ?

If you know something about cameras, like you can spot the difference between a canon and nikon photo, buying a sony isn't gonna work out for you.

What would a good flash be for the 30D?

Canon Speedlight 430 ex... thats if you want a good flash. I don't know too much about the cheaper flashes like Vivitar and stuff.

Well I'm looking for a cheaper one but a still worth getting flash, if that makes any sense haha.
