Sorry Matt- didn't mean to sound so harsh I just fail to see why there's so much pushback especially from other scooter riders regardless of brand.

I don't see how a scooter/Fuzion combined event with different classes is any different than a skateboard, BMX, rollerblade event. Like Virginia said, we are lucky enough that she is letting us add a division to the competition and are trying to make the best of it. We want to get some type of feedback (and possibly show off the new proto) before we hold the Fall Fuzion event.

While Frank is smooth and everything, and lots of people can do flips and stuff it SAYS in the commercial and Nextsport's signature "Ultimate CARVING scooter". That's like having an advertisement for a reggae band's concert, then when they come out on stage everyone is singing opera. Get what I mean? You guys are really going back and forth between "hardxgnarcore" riding and "carving". Who are you trying to advertise/promote to?

I got myself banned.
I think its sweet there going to be in the comp and sponsor it. Thats more prizes, free stuff, and competition going on. I think its gonna be fun, everyone is thinking so negative about it just because its a different type of scooter, cry about it.

nah i already knew it was a for sure thing, i just wanted to add my input. I might still enter i wont know till the day of the comp (if i have a fuzion working) lol. But yeah I definately give support to nextsport for their fall event, for fuzions.

Darren, when you have everything finalized for the fuzion event do you think there might be a small thing for scooters at it, or are you limiting it strictly to fuzion riding? Either way its cool but if its somewhat close to me and had a scooter part i might try harder to go than if it was strictly fuzion you know...
(and before anyone says it: No, I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm being serious)

The way I see it is that its like having a mountain bike competition at a BMX park comp. But right now, 2 wheeled scooter competitions could use some "help" from another closely related sport to get more people to go and shizz.

To clarify- we will have Fuzions on hand if you do not want to travel with it. HOWEVER with that being said we are not going to have a massive amount and these will be brand new completely stock units. For those that have modified theirs or have Carbon or other wheels than I expect you would prefer yours.

In regards to the fall Fuzion event, it will be strictly Fuzion products (Asphalt, Carbon, new product). Understandably as a lot of you like to point out, the current Fuzion line is not a strictly park product- hence why we're working on a Fuzion specific "boardercross" type event essentially combining downhill, carving and trick. I'll release more once we iron details out. We will be flying in certain members for the competition.

I think a lot of you are missing one major point of this added division for the competition; you are all going to already be there and have paid to join the Intermediate/Advance divisions. As the Fuzion prizes and packages will be provided directly by Nextsport, there is no entry fee. I would venture to say that about 1/2 or more of those of you already attending ride or have ridden a Fuzion so I still fail to see why you would not want a chance at the prize money, but that is your choice. As I've mentioned before we're here to support the riders into pushing scootering to the level that you all desire. If there's no interest, then it's a question I ask of all the naysayers and uninterested 2-wheel only scooter riders- are you really dedicated to furthering the perception of scooter riding or are you content with always being considered inferior to "validated" action sports?

That's up to you guys and your motivation. Just be aware that there may be many other riders attending that aren't primary scooter riders- this is your chance to show them what freestyle scootering is all about.

it will be fun either way. there isnt much of a difference between fuzions and scooters anyways besides the
addition of wheels and the introduction of trucks.

i dont see any problem with joining them other than wanting to ride a fuzion more than a regular scooter,
but that shouldnt really matter in the first place. dont we all ride scooters because we love the feel of riding them? well then whats the problem with someone else riding a fuzion if they like the feel of riding them?

its not like scootering is going to die out because of fuzion scooters.

but still it would be nice to get a little back from nextsport in return for some of the scooter riders that have and will be helping him. We are still devoted to getting our sport out there too you know.
