Just one question, if you were lucky's supplier, how come you suddenly decided to ditch them and sell the parts they rely on to stay in business for cheaper?

It seems to me that there's an unaddressed conflict, and from a customers perspective looks like a huge middle finger to lucky. So I can understand why people might revolt against this.

So what happened?

haha i was wondering this too!
i think it might be because they were tired of another company selling their products, designs, etc. and they wanted to be a super legit company so they just started their own buisness?

so my question is, vertx, are you a rider based company? or did you do manufacturing for lucky then realize that you could sell parts for cheaper than them and start your own company? and i realize these are all your designs but lucky obviously paid you alot to design them and manufacture them, keep that in mind.

Riley,
I did not intend to ever get into this kind of discussion and will not do so in the future any more than I absolutely have too. Your post however does require some response.
First we were not paid one penny for the research, development, design, or original associated manufacturing costs by any one, at any time, or any place. All the designs are ours and ours alone. I hope that is clear enough.
Next with regards to our relationship with any customer past or current, we are not going to discuss those relationships in an open forum; frankly it is none of anyone’s business except ours and those customers.
What we did was recognize a need for high quality parts at more affordable prices, and, that we were in a unique position to fill that need. I am not sure what you meant by “rider based” company. In today’s business world you need talent, knowledge and experience from all aspects of the business you are in. That includes manufacturing, design and engineering, accounting, business operations management and customer relations and especially in this industry, rider involvement. We believe that we have put together an organization that handles all these elements.
As to the rider involvement, if you have been keeping up with the thread on SR we have just finished what we believe was an unprecedented testing protocol that involved a broad spectrum of riders from all over the world. We have already made some of the changes that our testers indicated that they would prefer. More may be incorporated in the future generations of our parts. We are constantly reviewing and encouraging input from everyone even riders outside of our test group of riders and those who have already purchased our parts.
I hope this answers your questions.
