The only headset I have used that lasted me over a couple of months is my cane creek s1. I broke 2 s3's and s8 an fsa dh pro sealed and numerous unsealed pigs. The s1 is really smooth and super strong.

i ride an S-3 and the only problem i've had so far is that the alu top cap bent down a little and would scrape the top alu bearing cup, BUT i just filed it back down where it was dinged(problem solved). If you want ZERO maintenance headset than an S-1 should be fine, BUT i still love my S-3 more, plus it's a lil lighter(because the S-1 is steel).
