ok good thing you made this thread.

so i just got a cane creek threadless headset and i take it to the bike store to have them install it (cause i didnt wanna mess it up, it was like 50 bucks haha) and the guy was like

"oh i cant install this, its a threadless headset and you have a threaded fork'

and i was like 'wtf? i thought you could use thrreadless headsets on threaded forks"

so can someone clear this up for me. cause the guy said hes ordering a threaded shimano headset and does anyone know anything about them?

You can use threadless headsets with a threaded fork, provided you have the nut that screws on top of the headset (it comes stock with your scooter). So tell the guy at the shop to fuck off, plus, installing a headset is quite possibly the easiest thing to do, ever, especially if you have a press (search SR and you can find out how to make one.

I've broken a headset doing that, plus thats oging to lead to A LOT of problems with your headset being un-alighned. do it if you have to. but using a vice/a fuckn huge bolt with washers will be better. better yet go to a damn bike store

I got myself banned.
I don't think this is worth a sticky... everyone has different experiences with different headsets depends on fork and bar setups. BTW unsealed fsa pigs blow, stock headset is way faster and needs less maintenance.

but i dont wanna mess it up....so ca nyou help

and this should be stickied it helped me alot...

i dont know if this should be in this thread but i didnt want to make another thread cause it would be stupid
