Hi, really appreciate your feedback, at the end of the day if you guys dont like them there is no point making themm will get some pictures on asap, just waiting on bearings to turn up and to finalise bars (i know i can put some cheap bearings in for photos as doesn't matter but cant bring myself to do it as I know its not right, sad eh!
My sons initials are LG so I was thinking of calling it LG Pro scooters? just LG Pro for logo etc.v got a mate who is a graffiti artist doing some logos so will all be cool stuff.
Also we live in Newquay england so will be able to promote here but when sorted will hopefully spread out round uk then the world, lol! Once got some pictures if you like the scooters could maybe send you one to help promote in aus?

Cheers again,

Joel.

f you do that can you please send me one and ill promote them in victoria, australia.

also joel in the futute when they get up and running you could do threadless forks and threadless headsets if not already. also up for testing/promoting in brisbane, australia when u bring them in here.

All good stuff guys, be interesting to see those deck ideas Im still working on getting our original ones made in better quality as design was sound just factory did bad job with lower quality alloy than I asked for. I am also drawing up some more ideas, actually had a suggestion of one piece cnc deck and one piece cnc headtube slotted together from an engineering buddy but Proto are releasing their TDI system which is same type of idea and I know they are looking for patents on it so not sure if we would be allowed to make it as dont know exactly what patents they are trying to get, idea looks solid and from very good engineer who designs race motorbikes so know it will be mega strong. Might have to wait and see what happens with proto before can move on with this, others in pipeline though so may end up with a range of decks. Was thinking of maybe using our original design in the long deck length and doing almost an LG Cruiser deck just for riding about on and more for transport than big tricks. Then can do the really solid cnc type decks in 19.5" for tricks and park use. This means could do the cruiser type ones in full scooters with std type wheels etc for good price maybe £60 or something and do the decks for about £40, and then the cnc would be more expensive decks and we would do them with our heavy duty bars, forks, metal cores etc on them as hand made specials, hopefully still around the £150 complete like we set out to do. Not sure if this cruiser idea would fly? If they are just for cruising about on and for new riders who dont do tricks sure they will be strong enough and then do the pro ones for people who need something thats going to last. Figure alot of park riders might want a cruising deck too and for £40 could buy the deck and then just fit spare wheels forks etc that they might already have to make a cruiser or even buy the full thing for £60 and just swap some parts to make it right for them. Going on a bit here so any feedback very welcome if you can follow my rambling, lol!

Hi folks, another question!! Have been working with a few people on deck designs and as it may take a while to get our own deck sorted as in the cnc version not the cruiser that should be sorted quite soon as these do not need the outright strength of a park/stunt scooter. I have been given the chance of using the new District V2 decks as part of our first run of pro scooters, we would use our bars, forks, ceramic bearings and metal cores with the V2 deck in the middle of it all. I know the first batch had a lot of problems but the V2 is totally different and the tests show that it is a solid piece of kit and looks great too. Think we can still hit around £150-£160 even using this deck so you will get effectively an £80 deck, £30 wheels, £50 bars, £20 bearings, £30 forks (over £210 already and thats using our bearing prices not others ceramic prices) or including cost of grips, headset or grip tape all for about £150-£160, which I reckon is a good deal. This means we could probably get things going next month and then in new year once we have our deck done and tested we can do a full scooter using all of our stuff. I know some people are still worried about the District decks from the first time but I have spoken alot to the man who makes the decks and he explained why it went wrong the first time and showed me how they have changed it this time so it is spot on and the difference in materials both in the deck and the actual welds are huge so I am sure they will be good. Anyway enough from me what does everyone think about these ideas and posibilities? Do you think the full scooter sounds like a good idea and deal? Any comments good or bad appreciated, cheers, Joel.

Sounds good joel also about the "cruiser scooter" you can still use them for flow or vert riding which isn't as hard on a scooter.. The district idea sounds awesome, as long as they hold up which they sound like they will.. Which will also mean you will have a pretty light scooter for those weight freaks out their and a cnc idea for later sounds awesome im pretty sure get your decks done you should also get them heat treated as well. Keep up the awesome work. Andrew from proto said the companys that decide to use tdi or ubs our parts will be compatible with them.

Hi Jeremy, thanks for the reply and also for the comments about using the cruiser for flow and vert I missed that off and really important, so thank you. The cruiser decks are heat treated so no worries there. As for the district decks the difference is huge, you can feel the new one is more solid straight away. Basically the issue they had is that they got a factory to make them that used a cheaper grade alloy than they asked for and cheap welding material that weakened it further just to cut the factory costs by a few cents. District asked for the V2 quality from the start and were let down, they now have a factory they run themselves so only have the 6061 alloy in stock and better welding material, they also have total control of the manufacturing so quality is spot on. (sounds like a district ad doesn't it lol!) but after having a factory do it to me I can see how easy it is to have very simple instructions ignored and then you ending up with something that looks like you aksed for but made differently, with district they made some that were basically V2 quality which district tetsted and were fine but then when the factory made production run they used cheaper stuff and dropped them right in it!
Back to our stuff I think the CNC decks when out will be great and have emailed Andrew to find out what patents they have asked for and if we are ok to proceed with what we have come up with or if we need his permission, will be sorted one way or another but I think for now we will get the cruisers sorted so they are ok and sort out the deal to get full scoots made with the district decks, will keep everyone posted, cheers for your support and patience folks. Joel.

Hi Guys,
Just as an update, more chats today and can definately do something direct with V2 decks so I am trying to get our forks sorted which I think may be another 2 weeks, first sets of bars ready now just getting coated, got bearings, grip tape and grips so nearly there for pro model mk1! As soon as get some decks and other parts fitted will get photos on here and also final prices etc but should all be good!

Hi, Headset we have been working on with another company and it is just a good solid no thrills job, nothing super advance but will be solid! Although to be honest am going to try it next to a district one while using the V2 deck as may be worth using theirs as made to work with each other. Wheels are going to be Metal Cores had some made that we will try but may also have the option of using eagles, they will make us some personalised ones in future but alot of cost up front so may just go plain, again as with headset will try both types and the best win, at least we know eagles are solid so if not happy with ours will go the safe option and use them, we have made our own triple clamps that work well so will use them to start but also looking at an oversize quad clamp so could switch to this if is better but also not to much dearer to use, if it is much dearer may just use triple as it is solid and then can do quad clamp as an optional extra as dont want to keep moving price up. Hope this all sounds ok running out of door now so if missed anything let me know and will post later, cheers, Joel. P.S. May use the district grips as seem really good but also looking at odi's opinions?????

Yea sounds awesome. ODI longneck grips would be sick as a option and with eagle wheels yea if your not happy with yours go with eagle cause people would still pay more for it if it had better wheels and with the headset will it be a threadless headset? also could you describe forks to me are they like mgp/razor ultra pro forks or are they different? Last thing whatare your bars and forks gonna be made of?

Thanks for all the info,
Jeremy

i would definitely buy one of your parts! most likely your deck, you sound like a actual nice guy trying to help the sport out with good cheap parts not a money hoarding jerk
