p.s. the basic model should still be £70 or under I hope but to be honest while it will have our deck on which will be a solid start it will only have std type, wheels, bars, forks, bearings etc so while ideal starting place for people new to scooters who want a deck they can add to maybe not the best thing for serious trick riders as the additional parts wont be up to it (not saying they will be weak but not intended for trick use just to get people on the ladder with a good deck and potential to improve rest of stuff when they have the cash) of course the decks will be available seperate as well so you can just switch all of your nice stuff over from existing rides without having to pay out on a while new scooter, still sure we can keep them under the £50 mark to (hopefully £45) even with the 6061 T6 so should be a decent deck available to all an alot cheaper than even Ultra Pro decks, which are a good price already.

yeah i suppose, the basic deck would be good along with a brake, i would definitely get one as decks in Australia can be overpriced from retailers, sorta like what you said with selling it to a dealer, it would become very expensive for the average rider.
Would there be any chance of it being available to anywhere outside the U.K? I'm sure you could find a target market here, and a few people on the forum would like to get their hands on one themselves

Hi For sure we will be getting them to Australia and USA have had more help from Australia and USA than anywhere, (no offence to uk guys you've been awesome all through just more people on here from outside the uk) maybe I will get to do one of my dreams and finally get to come over once we are up and running to do some promo stuff, business not holiday obviously, lol! Have spoken to afew people on here about helping to sell them over there so will get into that once launched over here and see what best to do. I think a few guys who ride regular spread around the country can put the word out better than one shop or distributor can so trying to go that way would rather share the money with you guys than let shops double the price! I looked at distribution etc over here and if you said you want £70 for your scooter making £10, the distributor sells it to shops and wants to make £20 so they pay £90 and shops pretty much double it so its a £180 scooter. To have a scooter retail from a shop at £90 you have to sell it to distributors for about £20 and what can you make for £20? its some of that £90 that Im trying to save people so rather than our pro being a £250+ scooter in a shop we want to sell direct for £160, we still get the same money and you guys get the same scooter just £100 cheaper so thats the plan anyway, will it work? we will see but im confident it can. Joel.

p.s. not having a go at shops and for alot of scooters and for accessories etc they are awesome and good luck to them, this is just the way I would like to try to do it for us, I couldnt afford to pay £250 for my kids to have scooters but if they were £160 I probably could so trying to open it up so the people who can afford the £250 will have money left over and those that couldnt do it before now can if they buy from us.

have an online site! Instead of having a dedicated reseller, sell direct on the net! You can promote on here and put up flyers or have more people put the name out. Having the website would look more professional and not to mention legit, selling them on the street some people could get turned off them, thinking they are dodgy. Is that a good idea?

Not only a good idea but same plan as us! www.lgproscooters.com I started building it about a month ago and got alot done but just a landing page at the moment but will be up very shortly as soon as we have actual products to sell, lol! Can have really good galleries etc on for all products, would like to do a custom scooter bit on there so you can choose your deck type and colour and then wheels, bar colour size etc and really make it your own, can just do a basic price and then list of extras that you can put on and discount it all at end, that part is going to take a while but basic site will be up very soon, never thought I would be making scooters and designing logos and making websites at same time but its all good as end products will im sure be good all round, considering just me, my wife and kids have done everything will help of you guys on here proud of where we are so far but much happier once the scooters and parts are out there! not that dont still want people out there repping for us but it means you guys can pass us orders and still get a cut, like i said not sure how but will sort it! You can send people to the site and just let us know who you sent maybe, worry about it at a later date but we can do something for sure.

i think that its a good idea, but have a cut for yourself, keep the price disclosed on the website or mark it up, but the sales won't fly in overnight, if you find a powerbroker in Australia or America where we/they are scooter mad, trust me, you will most defiately get sales and a nice profit. Just ask around to find a legit dealer who won't rip you off.
Also a team or sponsor riders might boost sales and promotion, but thats a huge gamble that could draw a lot of attention or none at all.

Yea good idea Joel. If the product is good im sure lots of people with pass it on then they will buy it and so on. Also will you sell district decks seperatly?

Hi Guys.

Spoke to jeremy on facebook earlier and said may have more news on products for our other site or to go on our scooters etc, I do indeed! Now can sell or fit to our scooters-District full range of products, Eagle wheels, Ambush Decks, Blunt Decks and parts, Pheonix decks, forks etc, DSA Forks, and of course our own stuff, I am pretty happy to have all these parts available as think we have majority of bets parts available on there, ( I realise not Proto or TSi at the moment) but a good start, have to say I think the Blunt decks look very solid so may try our parts on one of those to see how compares to district, what do you guys think? Do you like the choice of suppliers any interesting combinations to make solid scooters? Cheers,

Joel.

Sounds sick joel. I would get a few blunt decks if i were you and build some up with your parts and give them to your uk riders to test them and give their opinion which one feels better.
also where abouts in the U.K do you live?

I was looking at them as not going to be many dealers in the UK for them and so new and solid be different to everyone else, they are due here in next couple of weeks so be good all round I think while we wait for our decks to be sorted.

I live in Newquay Cornwall, its the surfers paradise of the UK, just not quite as sunny as aus!

Just been having a think about them actually! Blunt are more expensive than district by about £20 so would put price of scooter up but as so new (not out in uk for 2 weeks) could launch a custom scooter with our new parts on a very good new deck that people are waiting for so could be good plan at least for here. But could give an option of maybe the LG Pro deck one when sorted for £140 district deck one for £160 Blunt for £180 Ambush for £200 and then even Pheonix if someone wanted it for £260. To start with maybe build a district and a blunt one up and take loads of photos put on here and have a vote or something? and make a batch of those, can still give people full option on our site, maybe until our deck is out do the district deck one as the pro model and then just offer the other deck options and you just pay the difference in deck prices? As everyone likes different things I think it would be good as hopefully make a lot of people happy but also when our deck launches it will show that it is a very good price when you see how much more expensive it is to buy the scooter with other decks, as always opinions needed!! Thanks, Joel. p.s. we will also be able to custom everything from our list of suplliers, so if someone wants an Ambush deck, with eagle sperm wheels, pheonix bars, dsa forks and phoenix grenade clamps, odi grips and with lg pro custom deck tape or something we can do it and build it all for less than you would pay for the parts separatly which keeps us busy and interesting, means people can have what they want and save money and time getting all the parts themselves and building it, and it comes all nicely boxed so parents can buy them as presents without having to know anything about scooters. comments??

Would also mean our site would have a hell of a gallery on it instead of a couple of picture of one type of scooter in different colours, we could photo every scooter before it leaves against an lg pro background or something so the site looks good, but also gives new customers an idea of what looks good together, it also means when you get your scooter you know we made it here as will be photographed by us before boxing so not made in a 3rd world country cheap or something and you will also have your ride on our gallery so you can show off lol! Even thought maybe could send a certificate or something out in boxes if parents are buying for their kids to say this scooter has handbuilt by lg pro for "bob smith" or whoever just to add something that you don't get with mass produced stuff. All could be crap ideas as always but thats why I put them on here so you can tell me if they are and I can fix them! Cheers, Joel.

We will of course still be doing our deck with std grade parts on at less than £70 for newbies to the sport or people on a budget looking for a solid deck (im not forgetting about what we starting doing just that this part is sorted and in production now and trying to get our direction sorted with the pro models) just wanted to add that if anyone thought we had gone from £70 scooter and moved to more custom stuff instead, we will be doing both just so you know.
