get full deck tape it was my only problem cause i always used to slide back and hit the brake.
Pirate Alex said:DO NOT hit your brake to pivot out, keep your feet as far away from the brake as possible because almost always no good can come from brakes+fakies.
And farmboy, sliders at high speeds are where it's at, just turn the bars and slide for a few seconds.

It helped me to watch bmx videos with people doing manual to 180's, you could watch some of my videos aswell, since most of them have manny-180's in them. Pretty much just turn left (if you're gonna spin left) as you're manualling, then when you jump push the opposite way as much as possible. So push yourself to the right if you're spinning left. I can actually do alley oop manny-180's off curbs way better than normal ones, which is weird.
You can try to go up on a bank and stall, then pivot into a manual then 180 out to get the feel of it.
yes for god sakes dont hit the brake it hurtsKenny Owens said:ride backwards...that always helps..and dont hit your brake
