Pointing out that this thread has 2 useful comments imo, rest being "you pussy, just do it" (nice work quoting Nike, they got you hook, line and sinker) which ignorantly explains the end point but not the path to the solution, this can
possibly put some in more danger. I found them kind of people to be of no help back in the days of the similar issues. I'll be brief as i see fit here.
Past experiences and proper encouragement is the key for a lot of riders but we aren't all the same, your case might be that you compare yourself to another rider you look up to or "compete with" or even started riding with but they are going somewhere that you feel you can't keep up with anymore. This produces unrealistic expectations of yourself and that can fail on many levels as you might realize.
With that situation, look at the bigger picture is a start. Do you emulate someones riding style or tricks? Do you ride or even communicate with people who you can
truly relate with on more than just scooters or simply your view on scooters? Are you aiming for a lofty goal like sponsorship by your favorite company or shop? Are you looking for what makes you "better" or "unique" to others?
If you answered yes to anything else apart from the second question, ask yourself logically why it is a problem. The answer may be a surprise if you expect these things to be fulfilled without some contemplation. As @
TheObserver mentions, look at other people dealing with real life problems, you can learn a thing or two if you are attentive as to how to they solve their problems with self inquiry and asking others for some help. Don't be embarrassed if the help is available like as on this forum but don't just ask your favorite name, read what they say without the bias of their name or reputation and come to that conclusion.

Aaron summarized the how if none of the above applies to you brilliantly as he does naturally.
