Don't base your life on it dude. Scooting is important to me but I could live without it. I guess I really can't give a ton of advice here because what scooters are to you motorcycles are to me. They are my passion and my life revolves around them. I've been riding as long as I have been alive. However, sport bike racing and stunting got me a girlfriend and because I love it so much. I chose a high paying major in college that I actually like so I can continue to have this passion in my life. So I did something with my passion. You can't do that with scootering.

I ride my bike a lot, and that takes me to places and parties with other bike friends, honestly i would rather be with my riding friends then my school friends.

I hang around with my school friends a lot too though. I drink on occasion but smoking weed owns drinking any day

Fuckk team and school sports, so gay

So i guess my answer is, i ride a lot, i ride more then anything else, but my riding leads to other things in life.
so true for me as well.

second bold: truth.

not to be mean or a dick but reading this you have NO LIFE. get involved wit shit, like school clubs/sports, find a NEW hobby, grow some balls ask a girl out, party, do w/e you want basically. like the day you get over scootering your gonna be like "wow i pretty much wasted the best times of my life scootering, sure it was fun but i coulda been doing other stuff"
so, so true.

Ok, I'm gonna talk about this a little through personal experience, because I'm not gonna lie josh, I used to be kinda the same way as you, I guess I still partly am, but I dunno, I'm trying to get over it - being at a school where I dislike about 95% of the kids there doesn't help much either though.. Anyway, basically just stop and think to yourself sometime about the future, and what you're gonna be/could be doing say 10, 20, 30 years from now. If you ask me, unless you literally shit hundred dollar bills on a regular basis, most of us probably won't have the time or means to keep riding bikes/boards/noodles or whatever it may be 10 years from now, because well, life kicks in - you're gonna have more important priorities to take care of. This brings me to my next point - being young. Nobody can stay young forever and live life easy, unless of coures, as I already said, you can somehow shit large sums of cash, so pretty much, you got only one shot at being young, and it's up to YOU how to spend that time. Sure, there are gonna be plenty of things that you will not have the time to accomplish before you're dead, BUT what's important is choosing the path that in the end will probably lead you to the most general happiness. If you look at it this way, riding a scooter is fun, takes your mind off things, gives you a rush, great. But, once you get old and have other issues to take care of, you just can't keep up some hobbies anymore and probably have to find something else to do that will give you enjoyment. So what I'm really trying to say is, a scooter/bike/whatever is just an object - keeps you happy to an extent, yes, but going out and just "living life" and making good friends, relationships, etc. - that is what counts in life, because it'll keep you happy in the long run. Think about it.

but after i need something.
like all my old friends hate me because basically i scootered to much. (ruined alot of things with chicks too ='[)
i noticed recently i dont like anybody (like the people i would hang out with.... not my scooter friends) i hang out with people and just say wow this is stupid and idk.

Pretty much the same with me, I've learnt that most of the people I used to be good friends with are actually dickheads and the people you least expect to become friends with end up being your good friends just from scooter riding. I don't have a girlfriend anymore either. All I pretty much do is go on here, go to school and ride on weekends and when I get the time during the week.

Occasionally I go to parties and drink a bit, never smoked weed though. My good friend who I used to go to parties with has moved 2 hours away from me now so I doubt I'll be going to many more.

I agree with you a little bit, Josh. Riding is a big part of my life. But i try not to make it my WHOLE life. Like, i do BMX racing, i have a girlfriend, and i hang out with my mates alot. So scootering isnt the only thing i do. Bit yeah, like alot of the other guys said, start hanging out with mates alot, find a girl that you like and ask her out and evenly balance scootering with all the other things in life.

Well the people at my school are prettty pretttttttttty gay. I only have a few friends who I hang out with outside of school that are from my school. I really love all the people i've met through scooting, they are my true friends and I certainly don't regret and I never will.

But heres a tip, take ONE day off riding and do a whole punch of other things. Like walk the dog or cook something or go to the movies. I do that often and its taken away the mindless zombie like obsession i used to have with scootering.

i used to go to the movies every weekend and chilll with people so much.
and now i just ride in the weekends.
i mean i wish i had a solid group of friends outside of riding but i just cant seem to.
i had like a group of 4 guys and like 2 to 4 girls depending on how bitchy they were and if we wanted to chill with them and now their all chodemunchs dude.
like they do shit and dont even ask me when i text all of em and be like " yo lets chill today" and theyre just like cant busy. when i asked everyone.
its so stupid

man, thanks alot guys. i didnt think i would get this much stuff back. hahah. but like i said before. IM NOT LIKE SAYING, OH I WANNA WORK FOR RAZOR OR SR OR BE PRO!!!! becuase of scooter riding i started making videos. and filming bmx and skating is a wayyyyyyy better career choice then saying i wanna be a pro scooter rider. but i know filming isnt really a job unless your a fuckin ty evans or beagle shit. i just like need to work in the bmx or skate industry. i wouldnt care even if i was stocking the warehouse at dans comp or working at a bike shop. i just can see myself working a normal 9 to 5. i cant even express how much riding means to me. its really the only thing i love in life. its really all i wake up for in the morning. hahaha that was corny and gay but ill take it. hahah

but thanks alot for all your input guys and girl! haha

josh im basically the same as you

in break times at school i dont go hang out with my mates, i go and hang out with the scooter riders which are my mates to. all they talk about is scooyets and me tooo

I dont knoooow.
My best friend rides scooters, so we sometimes talk about riding, sr and stuff.
Im a rate loner at school though, spend lunchtimes doing my homework so i can maybe get a little time after school to do stuff.

if anyone at my school has a party, chances are they will be drinking or getting stoned, i dont do either and i cant find a subjuect that most other people in my year would like.

It sounds like you have no life. hahaha if i were you i would find a new hobby. the truth is scootering is a waste of time, it doesnt get you anywhere, your NEVER gonna make money off it. the people that think that eventually you will make money off it are just plain stupid. go try out for a sport, go to some parties, start hanging out with friends etc. if the only thing you think about is scootering then your totally on some other planet (no offense). i used to just think about scootin all the time but i realized how much of a waste of time it is to do that and that scootering should only be an occasional fun thing. i agree but at the same time its kinda the same as spending a lot of time on a sport like football or basketball because the chances of making money of a "real" sport are just as low

thats really not true at all. Playing real sports does give you a decent chance of being pro and rich. and either way, if it doesnt get you to the nba (or whatever professional league). it can give you a scholership to a great college that you normally may of not been able to get into, it gives you respect. it also helps alot on any college application. and even if your not pro. you can get sponsors as a college ball player and make good money off those. tracy mcgrady (nba star) got his addidas lifetime sponsorship while he was a senior in high school and helped him go straight to the pros from high school

Not sure why people are trying to say he has no life. That is one of the most abused phrases ever. And it hardly makes sense.

Life is what You make it. Josh has a passion its riding, and everything that goes along with it. People here are telling him to go out and get a girlfriend like its a new pair of shoes. When the right time comes or the right girl, Josh will know it, and he will capitalize on it, its nothing to rush. Team sports..? Thats something someone either loves or hates. I personally can watch some, but dont do any..I prefer to rely on myself when it comes to sports, not a team. Which is why im into MMA and was into Riding. Its a sport that you are in control of. So if he doesnt want to do a team sport, its his choice.

Josh, dont get down on yourself because you realized that you love riding and everything along with it as much as you do. Just because that love is overshadowing hanging out with friends, having a girlfriend, and everything else, doesnt mean you dont got a life. If you got a passion for something, and its strong enough, you WILL go places in life with it. Life is what YOU make it. Your life isnt something that you look to other people to tell you how to live. Its yours. Do what You Love, and Fuuck the rest.

Im not home much anymore, im training MMA 4 days out of the week, and going to school the other 3 but if you need any advice or anything, hit up my email bro. OhGodItsSteven@live.com
