Mutts Quad Clamp

would a mutts quad clamp cause cromoly bars to bend with ultra pro forks. because i have blunt stripper bars and a mutts quad clamp and the bars bent after 2 days, i was doing tricks like quad tailwhips and bri tailwhips. please help.

It's the crappy blunt bars fault that they bent, not the clamp.

Blunt bars are awesome. May have been a faulty one. Send them a pic ect, they'll send you a new one.

Its usually not a bad batch, its usually just one faulty one.

It dosent crush your bars. SCS does the same thing and dosent crush your bars.

Its just not needed.

half of it is for your forks and half of it is for your bars duh

I know that. But, where your bars go in, do you have slits? No. So there for it is doing the same thing as a quad clamp would do if the top bolt goes over your fork tube.

Mutts quad clamp is useless. Unless your slit goes that high up, it's completely useless. (and ugly/un-aerodynamic)

The SCS clamps on SLITLESS bars. It's only there to keep your bars straight, not to clamp it onto a fork. You can't compare the two. (Clamping on a solid tube (no slit/perforations) won't make it "clamp down", where as slitted bars.. when you clamp down on them, the slit is pinched together, which makes it clamp onto your fork.)

Clamping above the slit is bad for the bars (yes, it really is) and just plain useless. You're better off with a stock double clamp.


HOWEVER, I don't know much about Blunt bars. So I really can't say anything about them.

Rob, i know that, but what i was saying is that using a quad clamp on a threaded fork wouldnt be bad for your bars, other wise if you where using SCS it would be bad for your bars. Because if the bar is getting clamped above the forktube, then that is the same thing as the bar without slits on a SCS being clamped in the SCS, if you know what i mean.

Its not bad for your bars, but really, theres no reason behind it.

mutts clamps are good lol i have a black quad on chromoly bars and mine bent back wen i had a shitty ultra stock clamp and a single clamp lol i bent them back got a quad and theyv been fine since lol
