ok so i got a new camera on saturday. i got the nikon D40 and i love it. it takes mad clean pictures and itsb really eassy to work with. it came with the 18-55 lens and the 55-200 lens. and i went to some flea market and got a macro 62mm fisheye with an adapter so it will fit over my 18-55 lens. also i have a polarizer and a uv red and green filter and a digital concepts flash :D
is there anything else ishould get to help with my pictures?

All that stuff is great but if u are a noob then maybe a guide to digital photography?
i recommend The Digital Photography Book by Scott Kelby

today i got a really cool backpack case, a uv filter, another uv filter to help with my nature pictures i forget what its called, and a polarizer ! :D

dont be a geek when it comes to accessories. i know all those filters, lenses, flashes, etc, sound so tempting but its not gonna help your images any if you dont know how to use them. just stick with your camera and the lenses you have now and work on making your pics look good and learning your camera inside and out to help you do what you want. one day youll know what you want to change about your pics and then you get the tool you need to make it happen.

Don't use that fisheye, it take all picures like fucked and glassy and out of focus. I have it and it's horrible.

Dont use fisheye whatsover, and dont use any of the filters because they degrade image quilaity.
And your amount of equipment for someone who barely does photography astonishes me.
I cant imagine how your gonna feel if you try photography, with all your flash equipment, and are completely shit at it and hate it.
Youve jumped in the deep end straight away.
looks liek we're gonna have another "........ Photography thread added to our collection", is it just me or does everyone, their dog and their mother do photgraphy now?

No really, I was offering him advice.
My friends dad told me the other day to only use filters if needs be, as they make the picture worse quality.
I was talking to martin and we agreed that fisheye is just way overused nowadays, and by the sounds of the one matt got it sounds dodgy and bad anyway.
I dont like how people jump in the deep end, when you see kids with buffs,sr fork and metalcores, and cant whip, dont tell me that doesnt get on your nerves not even a little bit.
