New Part Idea Thread

bar extenders.. there would be the huge flange on the end as normal, then diameter the same size as the bar, then a size that fits inside the bar and had a allen wrench screw in to make it tighter like odyssey par ends

Okay I'm sure a lot of us know that if you want to run your current standard diameter slitted bars (that you presumably have been running on a threaded compression system) with SCS, you have to insert a fork tube into the bars so when the clamp is tightened the bars have something to compress onto. Well to avoid this ghetto approach, a brand of some sort should create a compression cap combined with a fork tube. Imagine an ordinary top cap but with a tube of metal sticking out from the top, the tube would be hollow and the compression would be tightened with a long allen key. The slitted bars would slide into the gap between the tube and the scs clamp, similar to the scooterzone HIC clamp system. Obviously this wouldn't really be that handy because if you had the option to run bars with no slits then you should, but there are plenty of reasons why a rider would want to keep their slitted bars.

Because what this sport needs is more compression systems that are incompatible with everything else.

^^^ so basiccally. hic with the shim attached to the topcap?

Well not really because this works for standard diameter bars with slits not oversized

Because what this sport needs is more compression systems that are incompatible with everything else.

It's not a whole new system, its just a different style of top cap for those who want to run SCS with slitted bars, for whatever reason that may be

the thing is, we don't need any more compression systems. we have SCS and HIC as the top of the line compressions, ICS and IHC as the mid-level compressions, and threaded for the entry level scooters.

darcy i see what youre going for, but this makes no sense haha.. theres absolutely no way that could work. im really good at doing homemade/ghetto parts and stuff, but this just cant work. good try mate

white wall scooter wheels / white wall dirt scoot tyres?

also the dirt scoot should have different tyres instead of only dirt, cuz people arent gonna only ride them dirt. so like street specific or park specific tyres should be released so you can swap when your gonna ride whatever, would be more convenient and would suit the type or riding you would be doing

also for either flexys or old madd spring slide in style brakes, they should come up with some design that you can click the brake into its place in the deck, no bolts, same design as pheonix/mgp brake design, but with plastic(?) clicky things (i dont know what they're called) that would secure the brake into the deck, the deck would have some sort of hole for the edges to snap into, keeping the brake nice and tightly in place, and would have an easy removing procedure

also integrated headset adapters, standard headset decks would have headset cups put in them that can fit integrated headsets, for people that either snap their integrated deck and move to a standard deck without a headset, and they can use their integrated one, or people who prefer some integrated headsets

no exact need for a new compression though. slitted bars on scs, just put a lightweight tube that fits in your bar and your sorted.

few ideas, hope they go into production i guess :)

sorry i may have explained this part terribly, but i hope you get the idea

No, it would work. It's just dumb and nobody would buy anything like this. Just shove a forktube in your bars and you are good to go.

Pegs with inbuilt threads to eliminate the need for axle nuts, and a longer axle to fit it.
