I really doubt the occupy wall street protests will change anything besides the number of arrests made that day in a city.

Revolution? Nope.

They aren't asking for a complete change in government, just to rid the government of corrupt congressmen and women and lobbyists.

they arent giving in that easy though, to get the changes they want, they pretty much need a revolution. they wont get rich people to do something that will make them less rich.

Shits going to happen in the next couple years theres no doubt about it. Even if its for the worse.
And i can guarantee Anonymous is not going down intill they die or are in jail.
And if you live near new york or any protest you should be there instead of talking on the internet thats why nothing ever happens anymore we have to much shit to occupy are time with. TV to minpulate you, The internet to know everything about you, phones to track wherever you are.

Anonymous is only half of Occupy Wall Street. The other half is Reddit.

And as of now, they are stressing the nonviolent part. They're trying to be like MLK. I hope they succeed, but the use of the word revolution generally involves violence.

Well if Obama wouldn't have spent more money that most of the presidents combined...we wouldn't be in debt.Therfore there would be no need for a rebellion but we have a fucktard president.

I'm all for change but hesitant to jump on any bandwagon. Too many people want to riot to get more money, too few want to WORK for that money. All these dumb kids wanting a socialism based society may one day get their dreams come true, and it'll be their worst nightmare. And some of these groups, that's what they're really trying to do.

That said, maybe a lil ruckus might help us out too ;)

But in a nutshell, how I feel about politics....... I'm all about yanking our troops and limiting our support of other countries, drill baby drill, limit Unions power, slim social security, and overall being better about how money is being spent and catching these guys abusing the system (like all them cali boys making 1/2 mil a year ...remember that? Too many like that).

My friend went to the one in Philly today and said it was getting pretty nuts. I dont have any details on his story though.

This whole thing is really giving police an even worse rep in big cities. I know that in New York City, the policy that police have on pepper spray is that they just dont use it. But now there was a news story about someone real high up in the force spraying a group of 3 girls with pepper spray, and arresting them. Without trying to sound like a hippy, they werent doing anything wrong excepting exercising their freedom to protest. They werent being violent or crossing any set boundaries. It was civil disobediance, nothing wrong with that.
And theres always stories on the news showing cops just blindly swinging shit at everyone around them. Great way to handle it.

.

yea because obviously capitalism is working well...

a democratic socialist government done the right way is better than the shit we have now. capitalism IS the reason for 43% of the money being strait horded by 1% of the population. thats obviously a good thing to you isnt it?

well people who own businesses create jobs. and capitalism got us to be the most powerful country in the world in only about 150 years. devin, OBVIOUSLY obama signing bills that cost trillions of dollars does not help the debt situation. obviously we were in debt before that, but spending more money that we don't have isn't going to help the situation at alllll haha

Did i ever say it did no so what are you on about? I said it wasnt going to change the debt, george bush left this country in a wreck. I dont expect obama to be even better. Hes a shit president but we would still be in debt end of story. You cant blame a president on the whole country there is more to the goverment then the president o thought that you would notice that in school. He is just a huge puppet.

what does being a powerful country have anything to do with the quality of life a majority of americans have? you really think capitalism is good?

our power is a bunch of crap, the 1% of the rich have the power, you, me, and the rest of the people who actually struggle are just the peasants they feed off of... thanks to capitalism.

"Have you heard of a monopoly, well thats exactly whats happening to the U.S. The rich and getting richer and the poor or getting poorer." -devinthedew

couldnt agree more.

We were basically forced into a game of monopoly at birth, having to compete with other people in the same position to collect as much useless paper as you can before you die, having to work your ass off to get it even though that wont guarantee you will. In the event you do make it, you usually end up taking paper from people less fortunate than you like a leach, and have to sit there candy coating it to make it sound just so you can keep it, then you get to hoard it so other people cant have it.. and people find this ok. Welcome to the world that decided to lock themselves into a fucked up game of capitalism...

i want this to be a revolution
so bad
but i doubt it will be.
