im the photographer at my school, with a few other people. and we use the d40 like every day.
its honestly a good camera, trust me, i had to write a 2 page essay on it.

theres alot of shit you can do with it.
when it comes in, watch the dvd it comes with, it helps alot.
but shutter speed and appeture (for the pics) is explained and your picture footy will be great!

It's a "good" camera. Not the best for your buck. XTI= 20 times better. hell even an XT is better. anyone considering a d40-50-70. have fun wasting your money. C_A_N_O_N
