I don't do sliders but I can tell you the clear difference. You are dragging your wheel... you can even hear it dragging in the video and you can see how much speed you are losing when you do it. That means you are keeping too much weight in the front and forcing the slide. Your arms are bent and you are leaning forward. You need to straighten your arms more, lean back and keep all your weight back. Mainly just your body position and weight distribution is too far forward. The way Alex and Jon do them it is practically a fakie manual with the front wheel lightly touching the ground and it is practically silent.

oooo. i understand. i never knew that, and i dont know how i would know that if someone never told me. thanks!

ill work on that... and for now im just gonna switch the side of the wheel and do my sliders to even it out and then work on it the right way.

Andrew, dare the "retro tree bars" made out of the same thickness as Chromo buffs?
i would still like to know.
and if they are the same thickness then they will be incredibly heavy.
because the chromo steer tube weighs more than a complete alu buff setup

so i would like to know to tell them?

^ wow andrew at least you could be a little informative on a product that you make and sell, i really want to buy these but not if they are really thick/heavy

Don't you think that if over 100 people were riding these bars and they had a problem with the weight someone would have said something by now? ANY complaints for that matter? Come on. If they were heavy I would tell people they were heavy like I do with the 4130 BUFFS besides Lil Steve already answered the question on the last page so you don't really need to keep asking.

Like I said, I do not answer questions about weight or dimensions because that does not determine good parts. I could easily make the lightest bars in the world right now but I don't do that, I make the strongest so weight is irrelevant. If you don't like that then don't buy them. No one is forcing you to buy them. Besides, asking how much bars weigh is quite possibly the worst question you can ask (and unfortunately the most common) when everyone rides different dimensions which means every pair of bars is a different weight. I'm not going to sit here with a scale and weigh a hundred different dimension combinations. Either buy them and find out or don't.

there are 100 people riding bars you released yesterday!?!
and i would defintly NEED to know the weight of any product i EVER bought.
not because i care to much about it... but if the manufacture is REFUSING to answer a customers problems.... something is wrong.

I strongly disagree with that to a certain point. Obviously its not the most important thing but its pretty dang close. If two parts of equal strength are available but one is lighter I am going to buy that product 100%.

Overall, I just wanted a comparison of weight from these bars to either alu buffs(which I own) or other 1 pieces because I am thinking of replacing my buffs with 1 pieces to lesson the weight load(and 1 pieces are cheaper and look better) but I dont think I fully got my answer which is discouraging. But whatever ill live.

On another note, Andrew mad props you are truly doing an amazing job and I dont think you hear that enough (not sarcastic)

exactly, i really dont care about exact weight man but im just asking are they about the same weight as buffs thats all, .125 chromo steel for bars is retarded i think. when i dont believe a human being could ever apply enough pressure to break that, so what im saying is that making something stronger than something that cant break by itself is stupid, because then your just adding excess weight for no reason

Customers problems? There is no problem and you have no intention of being my customer according to your post a few up.

If you think it is wrong that I do not cater to weight freaks then I am sorry but that is not going to change and I am not going to answer questions about "exact" weight. People who want the best scooter parts made will buy them, ride them and love them. If you do not want to be part of that group then no one is forcing you.

If your friends have questions they can email me at scooterresource@gmail.com

QUESTION:

Knowing that thicker material cost more money how is it possible for me to be selling the cheapest one piece bars if they were thicker?

QUESTION:

Knowing that Jon Reyes rides extremely light and tech do you really think these would be his bar of choice if they were heavy?

And to Josh:

Nothing out there is of equal strength... certainly not at this strength to weight ratio. As far as weight in comparison to BUFFS, I don't know. Whether they are a few ounces lighter or heavier really makes no difference. It's not going to make you any better or worse of a rider. If you like the way they look better than BUFFS then that is reason enough to buy them because they are going to perform exactly the same plus you will be happy with the way your scooter looks.

since everyone is trippin andrew why dont you just give everyone the weight of the basic size... 20 x 15

anything else is a matter of grams... or ounces (i like ounces better ;)) hahaha
