I own SR.
The wheels are machined to precision tolerances to hold the bearings. If you don't put them in perfectly straight that could effect the way they spin but you should also just ride them. They aren't going to ovalize like other metal cores but riding will loosen them up.

This is sort of random, but how thick is the fork tube on the new SR threadless forks? Or the old ones. I just want to compare it to my new fork.
 
ok, wen mine arrive, and a few months after i get deathclick, i seriously will NOT NOT NOT NOT be happy. I FUCKING HATE DEATHCLICK ON MICROS, yes i no how to get rid of it and i have, but it would be so much more convenient if these dont have it
