My protos have cost me ~90$. Two broken screw drivers, two broken SUPER SWISS 6 BALL BEARINGS, and one bearing spacer.

Sorry. I had to use a bolt/bearings to get them in. Sadly. Yet I easily... using my hands, pushed bearings into my Eagles.



I hate to say it Buff. But it's honestly too much of a hassle for me. I don't have a bearing press myself, and no one does around me.
I can only support PROTO so much. SCS, forks, and bars are still perfect.

Thats an assload of money for bearings that you just made sound like grows on trees lol.
Proto wheels have been legit so far. Havent had any bearing problems either. Sooo idk whats up with yours Rob?

bearings are fine..my new proto is dehubing.. so is my old 1 i just spent 3 hours on my prots gorilla gluing them and shit and they still squeck hopefuly dont dehub

I really like protos alot, they don't wear and do not chunk at all. But this is the 3rd to completely dehub off the core... and soon to be a 4th im pretty sure of. Eagles are fast but they chunk SO terribly. I prefer protos do to they do not chunk for me but the life of them is gonna cost me so much if i have to pay for brand new wheels every month :(

I didn't HAVE a problem getting them IN. I had a problem getting them OUT

FUCKING READ JESUS CHRIST.

I had to use a press-rig to get them in, not too much of a problem, like 2 minutes with a socket wrench, bolt, some bearings, and a vice grip.
Now i have some pos bearings in it, cause i want to ride 'em

Edit.. again. I LOVE THE FUCKING WHEELS. GOD DAMN. I just don't like ruining bearings taking them OUT.

try sanding the bearing slot out a bit next time. Plus if you dent the bearing shield when you're hammering it out, just remove it and put the open end facing inside of the wheel.

I didn't dent it. the outer ring cracked and when they finally got out of the wheel, after a good 10 minutes of pounding, all the balls shot out across my basement, some of the bearing balls hit me. Not fun.

New PROTO Lifetime Warranties:

- "donut" dehubbing (does not cover normal wear or chunking only full dehub of urethane)

So yea.

I will be in Ohio for the next 10 days filming for the video so don't panic if I stop posting.

Of all the 10 year olds on SR one of the adults has to turn a serious post into a childish joke.

I actually need good wheels... I air. Which is why for once I'm complaining about PROTO parts... The bearings are too damn hard to get out without proper equipment...
