no you cant? you can only use rad 1-3/8 OS bars.
ScooTa Chris said:Even though I haven't had either personally I'd rather have a HIC rather than an SCS because you can use threaded fork, more convienient, it looks clean and its out of the way only real problem's are you gotta buy an aftermarket clamp for it to work to its full potential and you can switch bars to easily (RADS to Wee's ect.) I have rads with HIC, but i also bought a half knuckle double clamp, from Andrew at banks, i have to say without that HIC would suck.
And I would have to agree. HIC requires a decent clamp. Also It IS a good idea to get rid of clamps, but I really have never had many problems with steertubes bending. Short slots with a hole in the top dont really affect the tubing enough to worry about. IMO. Especially with a shim that goes deeper than the slots that actually reinforces it.
I really like SCS and HIC they are both perfect in their own ways. SCS for versatillity and HIC for cleanliness...
Oh I also wanted to say that I am surprised people have bent strikers. Those are without a doubt the best designed fork ever, especially since they are also so economical when compared to machined aluminum forks (take2,FrID).
Once Andrew heat treats them I doubt many will bend. Ever.
But with the I guess the SCS does the same job, looks fancy and adds a lil colour
