Spacer slides on.

Headset cap goes on and threads into the star nut inside the fork.

Put your bars on.

You need a 1-3/8" clamp. (proto half knucks are legit)

(somone else should post pics cause these pics are goofy and old. The fork was super long so it looks a little different than the ones that you buy. I dont have a decent camera.)

then the bars which have to 1 3/8 with a larger ID go over the shim and fork with a normal clamp which is tightened then you're set

Did you get a promodel clamp to work on yours??

I showed Stan this last year. Then showed Cory in Cali at SD3. I like to call it the I.C.S. Internal Compression System.

Thanks. I pretty much get it. There's a starnut in the fork, a spacer over ther fork, and a headset cap w/ a bolt that screws into the fork. my only other questions are- where do you get this (I don't see it on the rad website) Also, on the rad website, it says that you can get a standard fork for use w/ starnut, or a fork w/ integrated starnut. Do you get the integrated to use the HIC? Thanks!

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the rad forks have an option for an integrated starnut?

And you order the HIC with the bars (all bars that are 1 3/8" on the site come with the HIC option in the dropdown menu thinger).

BY next year these will be even more dialed, I have designs for some pretty wicked spacers but I need some shit first.

Okay, thanks. So to use the HIC, I get a rad fork w/ integrated starnt, threadless headset, and HIC bars? Thanks.

No, to use an HIC you need to buy the HIC bars. They work with any threadless fork/headset.

The handlebars provide compression.

So all I need is to but the HIC bars? And I don't need to buy anything else- they come w/ the whole compression?

I'll get a couple up when my bars/forks and clamp come.

I'm about to make a video showing how to set up RAD, Inverted, and Standard compression systems all in one haha, cuz I'm tired of people asking. I can't understand how you don't understand, the Rad compression is the simplest one I've ever seen.

That's right, all RAD HIC bars include the compression system. I'm not sure if it includes a top cap and starnut though, but those come with your threadless headset.

Hey you know what you can run the HIC on threaded forks if you really wanted I bet.

Durrr sorry double post :/

Yes you can use it with a threaded fork as long as it has a star nut inside.

Haha, well me and my 3 friends I usually ride with got a nice camera earlier this week.
-One of those friend's little brother has an inverted compression system that hasn't been installed yet. So I can get all of that on video.
-And soon, I will have my rad bars and forks, so I will show people how to install the HIC on video.
-And Andrew already has a good video out on installing the SCS.
