RAD will be making ultra strong scooters. parts. bars will be out in weekend after next. and internal headtubes will be out in 3 weeksish... and then if we sell lots of stuff we will be able to make decks and forks too. all with chromoly not aluminum. so its ultra strong but it will be a little bit heavier but not enough to cry over.Corey Ryan said:In whatever many years when scooter riders are all over TV i think a rare Razor scooter model would fetch a nice amount on E-bay.
But why woudl they make "Ultralites" anyway, the weight on scooters isn't an issue, i would rather own an "Ultrastrong".

I've seen so many people snap their Answer race forks at the track without any signs of stress. Carbon fiber shatters, never snaps. I've seen many Answer race forks snap before any sets of 4130 or steel forks even bend. And we're talking top of the line companies/product for both.coryM said:carbon fiber is stiff and has a good strength to weight ratio. but for somthing that takes hits such as a scooter it sucks. carbon fiber is like glass. glass doesnt bend it snaps. and it suddenly snaps without any warning. steel will last forever and is way more reliable and if it does crack it will show signs of stress before it happens. not all steel is the same though steel can be heat treated which will make it stiffer but if it it heat treated too far then its also more likely to crack without warning. ya carbon fiber is strong but it doesnt have the impact strength like steel to be used for scooters.
