James at Scooter Zone was telling me after I broke my first ultra pro, that he is talking to razor, so he said, that they want us to hold on to the ultra pros and headtubes, send them in and maybe get a new replacement one when he talks to them or works something out. Would that possibly happen Josh?
I'm sure it would be, if Razor agree's with James.
EDIT:
Some of you are funny though. You look at Razor as if it's supposed to be a hardcore rider owned company or something. I was talking to Bob Hadley the other day, he helps build and design products for Razor, also an in house guy that will be producing the parts they will be making soon. He made a great point. In comparison to the BMX industry.
Razor is like the GT or Redlines of BMX. They are a higher end production company. Then you have rider based/owned companies like FIT/S&M, Demolition, Kink, etc. Comparing GT to FIT/S&M would be ridiculous. GT makes bikes for the majority, while FIT/S&M makes them for the core riders. Right there, it shows you there are two seperate markets. Just like BMX, scooters has companies like this also, Proto, Inward, RAD, Eagle, etc. But on top of all that, you also have companies that sell in department stores like Mongoose, Next, etc. But you will never see a FIT in a department store. It's because those department stores don't sell higher end/expensive products. Razor fits in the department store catagory. They are made in mass production, made for a cheap price to be sold for exactly that, a low price. But you have to expect that you may be paying less, and having them break more often, but it gets the job done until you run into that problem. But by the time you snap or damage the higher end companies products, you'd have paid the same amount replacing the cheaper priced product a few times over.
My point being, Razor isn't a rider based quality, it's like a corporation, ran by suits. Then you have rider based like RAD, that make products for the core riders, not the majority of the public. Razor may not have the top designs, but they last a long time for how they are constructed, and specially for the price. And I've said it before, everyone takes the higher end products for granted. Just consider you're lucky to have options, us OG's had to make the best of things running bolted stock scooters just a few years ago. And as far as I'm concerned, Razor made an amazing product for the cost.
Sorry for the essay.
