Respect

Respect SR, Respect fellow riders, and Respect your elders.....

As a vet of Scooting and SR I'm seeing more and more young , "newer" riders disrespecting others, and out right thinking they know the whole scene. You little guys need to take it down about 3 levels.

Seeing that this "NEW generation" actually has other people to ride with makes it alot different. In my day (and a few others)
we had to ride alone or with a select couple of elite riders, or we had to wait a year for a competion. We respected eachother, had fun everytime we rode no matter the skill level and were super stoked to have met one another.... enough said.

So true Eric! Even though Im in the "New Generation" I still give every
rider respect before I even know them. I give EVERY scooter rider respect
because they simply ride scooters. I just hate it when I see people arguing
over threads online. Theres no point, it doesn't make any sense. Its bad
enough we get bagged on for riding scooters but then scooter riders bag on
other scooter riders, WTF!??. Seriously guys, come on and grow up.

This thread NEEDS to be stickied!

Seriously dont start man. RESPECT, yes Joe D. said something disrespectful.
That doesnt mean you get on here and say stuff back. Learn to IGNORE people.
Dont always take things offensive either.

I think most people who have posted in this thread already are exactly who he is talking about, the "newer generation"

No one around or near me rides, so when I meet another scooter rider I always treat them with respect. I met this kid that brought an old beat up razor to my local and I spent 2 hours with him teaching him how to tailwhip. The reason I do that is because it progresses our sport in a way. I know I wouldn't want to start a sport that I thought assholes did.

well ive been rider for 2 years or so, im not new but deffinatly not old, but in 06-07 the midwest scene was like the cali scene in 01-02 there isnt many people to ride with at all, no close comps or anything, so i was so grateful to ride with another scooter rider, and thats why midwest people have originality, there simply isnt anyone to ride with so we all kinda make it up as we go, ive been nothing but respectful to people, i might have an arguement here and there but its always passive and just expresses my opinion, this whole thing irrates me too, all these new kids act like they know everything, when they havnt been around long enough to experience this all, i remeber when one pieces were non-existent, im not trying to act like i have alot of history because i dont but i atleast remember when rvm3 came out and when most people still rode old yaks, so wait till you have some memorys all you new kids instead of acting like you know it all
